Transcript [00:00] The first miracle I saw in my life, they [00:03] was shooting on me and I I can feel the [00:06] bullet uh through my head and no bullet [00:09] got on me and Aan and we we were safe. [00:12] Then we said don't talk any bad word on [00:16] us because we'll come back to you in [00:18] your houses and they said we will back [00:22] to Israel and the 7th October will come [00:24] again. So, uh, you should run away for [00:27] Germany. And you say that one year I'm [00:30] I'm out from the the captivity, but you [00:33] know, I ain't free. You know, I I'm [00:35] still hostage in Gaza. You know, you see [00:37] me right here, but I'm not free. My soul [00:40] all the times is in Gaza. Every day I [00:44] think about Gaza and uh it's I can't [00:47] hunt away from it. [00:48] >> Before we play this episode, trigger [00:50] warning. We talk about a lot of [00:52] difficult topics in this conversation. [00:55] We talk about suicide. We talk about [00:57] people who are murdered and just other [00:59] things that may not be appropriate for [01:01] children who are young. So, while this [01:04] episode is very powerful, we do talk [01:05] about mature content. 738 days. That is [01:08] how long Rahm Brazki was held hostage in [01:11] Gaza, kidnapped on October 7th. And for [01:14] two full years, nobody knew Ufi would [01:16] ever come home. And now he's here [01:18] sitting across from me telling a story [01:20] in his own words. how he found God in a [01:22] tunnel in Gaza, the miracles he saw with [01:24] his own eyes, the torture he survived, [01:26] why he says part of his soul is still [01:28] there, and the chilling warning Hamas [01:30] gave him about what is coming next. Rahm [01:32] only got back to Israel October 15th of [01:34] 2025, so it's not even been a year since [01:36] he's been out. This is one of the most [01:38] powerful conversations I have ever [01:39] recorded, and I am not saying that [01:41] lightly. This episode is dedicated in [01:43] memory of Miriam Sarbasak Mosha, Shiman [01:45] Davinyaku Schlma, and all the victims of [01:48] October 7th. And I want to thank this [01:49] week's sponsors, PZ Deals, Turo's Lander [01:52] College for Men, Whales to Lease, Hiring [01:54] for Less, and Turret Ema. Ram, could you [02:09] explain to us what was your life like [02:11] before October 7th? [02:14] >> Um, [02:15] I miss the life before October 7th. You [02:18] know my life before October 7 was a [02:22] really really chill life and cool life. [02:25] I was really a happy person. Before uh [02:28] uh the black Saturday um I was a soldier [02:32] uh which work in the in in my free time. [02:36] I was working in security. So uh I was a [02:40] really really good good boy. I was uh [02:44] helping a lot to my mother and father in [02:46] home. Um, I was uh I I've got uh my own [02:52] apartment and my life before 7 October [02:55] uh was the best life I've got. I miss [02:58] very very very a lot uh my life before 7 [03:02] October. Um [03:05] the life after October 7, it's not the [03:09] same life that was before. [03:12] >> And we're gonna we're gonna get into [03:13] that, but could you and I know it's not [03:15] easy. Cook, you take us through um [03:18] quickly the day of October 7th. From [03:19] what I understand is you were you were [03:21] security and technically you were able [03:23] to really escape once you saw and [03:26] understood what was happening, but you [03:28] didn't do that. You actually stayed and [03:29] stuck around to help others. [03:31] >> Yes. Um I was uh just like you said, I [03:34] was uh my my uh my second job was [03:37] security uh as a bodyguard in parties [03:41] and clubs. and I was uh in a normal day [03:45] of of work. Um actually day before the [03:49] October 7th we were in the in the place [03:52] of the Nova festivals. There was another [03:55] festival which called [03:57] um how is it called? Um unity festival. [04:02] Day before the Nova the the Nova in [04:05] October 7, I was in the in the ground [04:08] and I knew every place in H in the area. [04:12] I know every rock, every place. Um that [04:16] was my job you know to do uh searching [04:19] to see what in in my place there is [04:23] everything. I was knew every place in [04:26] the area and I knew also how to run away [04:30] and how to hide and where to hide and I [04:33] was refused to run away in the Nova [04:37] festival. Um at 6 uh and half in the [04:41] morning um I was look up in the sky and [04:44] all the security guards we all everybody [04:48] saw uh the the rockets from Gaza to [04:52] Israel. The sky were like total um red [04:58] and the rockets was falling on us. I ran [05:02] for for to the DJ place with my boss of [05:07] the security AA. We was killed in the [05:11] Nova Festival. [05:14] We run to the DJ and we say to the DJ to [05:18] the DJ, cut the music. We stopped there. [05:21] I I was the guy who cut the music in the [05:24] Nova festival. So uh the music uh got [05:27] off [05:28] and we no no one have any idea what's [05:33] happening. I was uh pretty happy. I tell [05:36] you honestly I thought uh the the party [05:39] is over and I get my money earlier and I [05:42] don't need to work till a lot of hours. [05:46] So we say to all the peoples in around [05:49] us everybody run away go back to your [05:52] homes. People was laughing. No one, [05:55] everybody was like one drink alcohol and [05:58] uh people was in a party. Okay, it's [06:01] young people's beautiful people's um [06:05] just want to have fun and uh hear music [06:07] and dancing. Um there is Jewish and [06:10] non-Jewish and people all over the [06:13] world. So um we said everybody run away [06:16] to the to home and slowly uh people uh [06:22] just you know take the time and no one [06:24] want to leave the the hours are clocking [06:27] and it's uh maybe 7:00 [06:31] we start hearing shooting and the [06:34] missiles like in every place and the [06:37] shots the the AK-47 shots was really [06:40] really really uh strong And I understand [06:45] that the terrorist peoples coming to us [06:49] and I uh I said to all the people around [06:54] of me you need uh to get out from the [06:58] this place it's not safe place go away [07:01] from here no one listen I was run away [07:05] to the to the open place to the how we [07:09] say the y forest I run away for the to [07:13] the forest. I take with me maybe 20 [07:15] peoples and we run away. Um right now [07:20] the time is maybe uh 9 or 10. Uh while I [07:24] was running to the forest to the open [07:26] place um we saw everybody dead. I saw [07:29] all the dead bodies, people like getting [07:32] shot every place and people you know you [07:35] run away and you got the bullets right [07:38] your ear. So we just run away to safe [07:41] place. There is no safe place. The the [07:43] shooting was from everywhere. So I keep [07:46] running. I take with me which all the [07:50] people I can to get. We was like um like [07:54] the 13 or 14 survivors, the less [07:57] survivors, everybody was get shot. Uh [08:00] the ambulance uh got burn all the [08:03] ambulance of the in the party [08:06] and we run away. We stay like uh 20 or [08:10] 14 peoples the last survivors all the uh [08:15] dead on the floor and they understand [08:18] that the terrorist came to us. Uh we [08:21] stay in safe place on the floor for [08:25] maybe um half hour. In the half hour, I [08:30] see the terrorist uh start coming for us [08:33] from far and I see a tank uh born and a [08:39] lot of uh smoke from the tank and the [08:42] terrorist guys are starting to come from [08:45] us and they was looking looking at us [08:47] and I was uh I was here yelling yehood [08:55] which means Jewish we going to uh kill [08:58] you down. So uh I start to hearing all [09:02] these sounds and I was really really [09:04] scared and no one understand what [09:06] happened in the in the place. Um after [09:10] 40 minutes uh something like that came [09:13] for me at Mo is also kidnapped and go [09:18] and was in the in the he was hostage for [09:21] 2 years like me and we go out got out um [09:25] before one year ago. He came for me and [09:28] said I saw uh dead bodies of young [09:33] ladies. We have to save them and to put [09:36] them in safe place so no one can touch [09:38] them and I can't I came from I say like [09:41] oh my god what you want for me I'm [09:45] I was like you know scared and I I you [09:48] know I was helping for the people to be [09:50] calm and bring water for everyone [09:53] and start I was trying to help and came [09:57] for me and said we have to help to these [09:58] dead bodies so the kamas terrorist [10:01] wouldn't take them because it was like [10:03] taking dead bodies and they was do a lot [10:06] of herbal things to the young ladies. So [10:09] I I go with aan 4 minutes walk from me [10:14] and I'm start walking walking and uh and [10:18] I see maybe the the horrible picture I [10:22] was seeing my life uh you know that [10:24] picture will never got out of my head. [10:27] Um I see uh two young ladies was got [10:32] shot from the leg to the head. A lot of [10:35] blood and maybe half of her stomach was [10:38] uh open. Um it was uh horrible, [10:42] horrible, horrible. Um, you know, I [10:45] sleep in the night and I saw every night [10:50] the picture I saw in this morning and [10:52] I'm trying to to uh grab her from the [10:56] hand from the legs [10:59] and her phone was ringing and his mother [11:05] calling to to the the young lady um [11:09] which dead. And I was thinking for [11:12] myself in this moment should I answer to [11:14] this phone and I was like um I can't do [11:17] it and I wasn't take the phone and I [11:21] regret on it till this day and all the [11:24] captivity I was uh uh thinking of this [11:28] young lady uh on his mother just want to [11:31] see if the the the girl is alive or not. [11:35] So we take the those two dead bodies, we [11:38] put them in safe place. Thanks God. We [11:41] bring the the ladies for [11:45] in Israel and Kamas terrorist. No one [11:49] touch her. She was like safe and we put [11:54] the dead bodies in safe place and uh we [11:57] start walking. We want to see what is [12:00] happening you know uh in the place. [12:04] Um uh I say let's come back to the party [12:08] place. Let's see what's happening. And [12:10] uh we walk back to the Nova festival [12:12] dance to the party which everybody [12:14] dancing [12:16] and we see um a lot of brown cars and [12:20] alarms from the cars. Beep beep peep and [12:23] the smoke was everywhere shooting from [12:27] you know where you can where you go you [12:30] got bullets uh [12:33] through you and uh it was uh like you [12:36] walk in the gay gate m like that and uh [12:41] we start walking [12:43] uh slowly [12:45] and I [12:47] I look in the right and I saw for [12:52] terrorist peoples [12:54] um kamas terrorist they was covered well [12:58] like the the army like the IDF and I was [13:02] uh looked they've got AK-47 and I [13:05] yelling for my friend Etonabim [13:10] run away and we ran away in zigzag [13:14] that's we learned it in the military if [13:18] you get shot you have to run away in [13:19] zigzag and the terrorist people, four [13:22] terrorist guys um shooting on me a full [13:26] maranit. I don't know how to say uh full [13:30] maranit full of bullets. No bullets was [13:34] got on my that was the first miracle I [13:37] saw in my life. They was shooting on me [13:40] and I I can feel the bullet uh through [13:43] my head and no bullet got on me and we [13:47] we were safe. We've got cut um one we've [13:52] got cut in a horrible way. Um all the [13:55] Gazan people are coming from us and we I [13:59] was in a horrible lynch like you know [14:01] rockets woods hand knife there was [14:06] beating me up also my friend [14:10] um and I'm in position that one [14:13] terrorist guy put me on a plastic [14:17] handcap and we walk to the to the border [14:22] between Israel and the Gaza the border [14:25] was uh born all the border [14:28] and I thought to myself it was if I'm in [14:31] a movie what should I do right now [14:34] should I keep walking like am I going to [14:36] my home I go to Gaza [14:39] I was testing the end cup and they just [14:41] like I break the the handcap in mistake [14:45] I was looked at the the terrorist guy he [14:48] was looking at me I put him in the face [14:51] with my uh box and he got full. He was [14:57] like, "Oh my god." And I run away. I got [15:01] into small bush and I s my [15:05] side. I knew they was looking for me and [15:07] I knew I'm going to die in this moment. [15:10] I s my in my last power. I'm after 3 [15:14] days of work. My body is in trauma. I [15:18] saw a lot of dead bodies in my eyes and [15:20] it was really really [15:23] tough day tough days and um after 3 [15:28] minutes I they was lay yelling at [15:34] um I was uh raised my hand up uh walking [15:38] out and I saw in front of me maybe 13 [15:42] peoples with AK-47 and maybe four or [15:45] five terrorist guys point for me. RPG [15:49] and a lot of Gaza civilian, you know, [15:53] built we call them in Israel. Um, [15:58] and one terrorist put me grenade to my [16:02] face. And he say to me, "Keep moving [16:06] forward. You come for you come with me [16:08] to Gaza with the AK without the the [16:11] grenade [16:13] on my head." And that's how my uh story [16:17] begin. [16:19] That was uh the the seven October was [16:24] really tough. I saw in my eyes how the [16:27] terrorist people uh on our dead bodies [16:31] ladies there was touching. There was all [16:34] their clothes got off from the dead [16:36] ladies and there was stealing. You know, [16:39] I saw one guy, one man, he counting, you [16:43] know, 100 shekels with blood on the bill [16:47] and uh it was really really tough days, [16:51] tough day, the 7th October. And, you know, [19:09] something that I think people don't [19:11] realize is, you know, for anyone who [19:13] heard how bad it was, they hear the news [19:15] and and they heard all the graphic [19:17] details, but you know, most people [19:19] didn't live it. The fact that you were [19:21] there and you lived it, of course, it [19:23] happened on that day, but it's it's it's [19:24] something that, you know, unfortunately [19:26] will always be for with you. Hopefully, [19:28] it will, you know, get easier with time, [19:30] but it's it's something that is [19:32] imprinted into your memory and uh I'm [19:35] sure it's not easy and and we'll talk [19:36] more about it, but um you were you were [19:39] in Gaza for of the most uh from any [19:43] hostage, right? Uh I don't know. Could [19:44] you tell us the exact amount of days [19:46] over 700 days? You're not even back for [19:48] over a year yet. [19:49] >> So, I was 2 years in Gaza in captivity. [19:52] Two years that was two years of hell. [19:56] there is a lot of deals. Um, and I was [19:59] the last deal the last 20 survivors and [20:03] I was two years in in Gaza. I know it's [20:07] a long time. Uh, you know, even 30 days [20:10] is a long time. 2 years it's it's [20:12] unfathomable. Could you take us through [20:15] the different state? I mean, from what I [20:16] understand, you were there, you know, [20:18] mostly by yourself. You I mean, you had [20:20] a little time, a day or two with Sasha, [20:22] but most of the time you're by yourself. [20:23] How did you pass the time? [20:26] you know, based on a religious level, [20:28] how did your relationship with Hashem [20:30] change as time went on? [20:32] >> Well, I tell you something uh um you [20:36] wouldn't understand. I don't think no [20:37] one will understand why and how uh I got [20:41] back in Chuva in my captivity after 13 [20:46] days and I saw a lot of miracles uh been [20:49] happened to me and I was like clearly [20:51] was uh saving from the dead. I saw the [20:54] dead in front of my eyes maybe maybe [20:58] eight time. Um [21:01] I was really close to be dead and God [21:04] saved me uh time and every time [21:09] in first. So um I was got back in Chuva [21:13] in my captivity after 13 days. I was uh [21:17] asking one of the the big sheh I said I [21:20] want to pray. Can you give me sidu? He [21:23] said no. He was beating me up and uh I [21:26] just like uh I was built for myself my [21:30] own fil what I remember from the the [21:32] sidu and I was start to praying for God [21:35] three times a day and uh you know um [21:40] every day I say thanks God for the seven [21:42] October and every day I say to God thank [21:45] you for the two years of the captivity [21:47] thank you for you pass me this learn I [21:50] was in test God was that's how I see [21:53] that's my uh Uh that's my way to think. [21:56] Um I think God was test me for these two [21:59] years and I I think I was passed the [22:02] test. Um I tell you something the the [22:06] Muslims in Gaza, they are just like us. [22:10] There is they are not like us. I said [22:14] you know if you see it in the religious [22:15] way um they really really close to God [22:19] you know in words not in acts. in acts [22:23] they may be closed more for the the [22:25] devil. So um there was all the times [22:30] want me to to get Muslim to be a Muslim [22:34] like them and there was you know reading [22:36] me the Quran and said you have to be [22:39] Muslim like that that's that's the right [22:42] way to live and [22:45] you know I was like there was cover my [22:48] eyes there was put rocks in my inside [22:52] the ear so I can't hear nothing and it's [22:54] also really really [22:56] They was like beating me up. I got uh I [22:59] lost half of my body weight and I got [23:01] beating up every day. And he said, [23:06] "Come to the Islam. [23:08] You need to be Muslim. And if you will [23:10] be Muslim, I bring you more food. I put [23:13] away the thing from your ears and the [23:16] eyes. No one will raise a hand on you." [23:19] And [23:21] it's like test, like a test. And I said, [23:26] "Hell no, I'm not coming to the Islam. I [23:30] was born Jewish and I will be dead [23:32] Jewish [23:33] and I believe in all my heart in Musher [23:38] Rabenu and I don't know uh who is [23:41] Muhammad. I don't know what you're [23:43] talking about. I don't know what is the [23:45] Quran. I'm I'm not supporting in this [23:48] and I will be dead Jewish." And I said [23:52] also if I will cut out if you will let [23:54] me out from here also my children's that [23:58] I will be I bring childrens to the world [24:01] and they also will be the Jewish. So um [24:05] you say it from the religious in Gaza um [24:09] I've got the opportunity to stand up for [24:11] myself for my Jewish power and I can to [24:15] live a normal life as a Muslim but I [24:18] said no I don't care to be tortured to [24:21] dead I can I said you can't to also if [24:24] you bring a gun and put it on my head [24:26] and say come back to the Islam [24:29] and I will say no so I was standing up [24:35] for my uh my religious and I'm proud of [24:38] it. [24:40] >> Where where did you find that strength? [24:42] Because you know you're describing it. [24:43] I'm getting goosebumps. This is the kind [24:45] of things you read in a book from 500 [24:47] years ago. Where did you have that that [24:49] power to say I I'm I'm born a Jew and [24:52] I'm going to die a Jew. [24:53] >> There is no power. Okay. I've got no [24:57] power in Gaza and right now also I don't [25:00] have power. I'm broke. My soul is broke [25:03] and my body is also in pain in Gaza and [25:06] also right now in this interview [25:09] where I get the power. I tell you where [25:12] after you get you know um the devil and [25:17] God was fighting on me. The devil want [25:19] me to be dead and take me take my life [25:22] away and God was fighting on me every [25:24] day. And I saw a lot of miracles in [25:28] front of my eyes. I mean rocket uh from [25:31] the IDF was I got we've got hit in the [25:35] house. I've got uh I was in it. All the [25:39] house was like uh falling on us and the [25:41] glasses was uh uh explode on us and [25:44] glass like this was explode um like like [25:50] this from my neck and a lot of small [25:52] stories that I understand that God is [25:58] with me physically every day and that [26:01] that's why I was standing so much from [26:04] for of my religious and uh I've got my [26:08] power from God only only from God and [26:11] the miracles I saw day by day and I was [26:15] you know you speak with me right now but [26:17] you don't understand I wasn't be here I [26:20] was I don't need to be here I was uh I [26:23] was needed to be dead in Gaza it's like [26:26] miracle you right now speak with miracle [26:29] alive and I don't you know in the if you [26:34] want to be uh in uh to think about it. [26:39] Um it's miracle I'm here and that's why [26:42] I was standing for my uh religious and [26:45] my Jewish uh uh power. [26:49] >> There was so much evil that you saw in [26:51] in Gaza in those two years. Was there [26:54] any was there anyone there that was kind [26:56] to you at any capacity or was it just [26:59] just pure brutality the entire time? [27:02] >> You know, it's funny. We are with the [27:04] Jew the Jewish um also in the Israel [27:07] media always asking about the kind [27:11] people the we humanity you ever said [27:14] humanity [27:17] >> humanity um they think in Israel we say [27:22] so I want to ask you something you ask [27:24] me if there was humanity in in Gaza so [27:28] um what is humanity for in in your eyes [27:31] so I tell you But um I was in 3 months. [27:36] Uh no one was beating me. I've got food [27:38] maybe two or three pizzas a day. No one [27:41] torturing me. Um and they was leaving me [27:45] by myself all the day every day in [27:47] handcuff. Um so that was the the the [27:51] only humanity I was seeing. Gaza 3 [27:53] months no one was beating me up. And I [27:56] want to ask you if you think that's what [27:58] called humanity. Um, you know, we hear [28:01] my mother and father crying on the on [28:04] radio and they was laughing. [28:07] Um, so I don't think [28:10] that's called humanity. No, I don't [28:12] think so. No, [28:15] >> that's well said. And you know, I you're [28:17] you're obviously everyone knows, you [28:20] know, the the videos and the the the [28:22] footage that that they put out of you [28:24] and you know, anyone who saw the before [28:26] picture of just like a healthylook, [28:28] handsome young man and then they see, [28:29] you know, half of that person in the [28:32] footage for you, did you did you realize [28:35] in the time I assume you didn't have too [28:37] many mirrors there. Did you realize what [28:39] was happening to your body and and and [28:42] also emotionally what and and you know [28:44] psychologically what was happening to [28:46] you or did you only understand fully [28:48] once you got out? Um of course I was [28:52] know what's happened to my body you know [28:54] uh the time was like keep going up and [28:57] my body weight are going down and they [29:00] was bringing weight they want to weight [29:03] me and see how much I weigh not because [29:05] they want to understand what is my [29:06] weight um I've got to 49 kilos and he [29:12] said oh you've got fat in Gaza that's [29:14] amazing um 49 means invites Right. [29:20] >> Mhm. Yeah. [29:21] >> So, uh he bring me weight and we are on [29:24] 49 weight and he said, "Oh, you got fat [29:27] in Gaza." Um and you know the time are [29:31] going up and my weight go down and I saw [29:36] my bones. I start to look to see my [29:38] bones from everywhere. All my body till [29:42] right now in scrums how we say [29:46] like this. You see this? [29:49] You see like this [29:50] >> scar? Scars. [29:51] >> Scars. [29:53] >> Scars. Yeah. The time in Gaza are going [29:55] up and my body weight are going down. [29:59] And I'm looking on my body. I was like [30:01] like a skeleton and a lot of scars on [30:04] me. Till till this day I see the scars [30:08] every day in the shower. And I knew that [30:12] I'm really really close to be dead. I [30:14] saw it in my eyes and I was prepare [30:18] myself to be dead and I was say every [30:21] day I'm ready to dead. I'm ready for the [30:24] death right now. And I was said for God [30:29] I'm taking all myself to got killed [30:34] but I want the terrorist with me. We [30:36] everybody will be dead together. So I [30:39] was ready to give my life for God just [30:44] uh for the terrorist will be dead with [30:46] me and uh it wasn't happen. Thanks God [30:50] and uh it I I I understand that I'm [30:55] really really close to be dead. Yes, [30:57] >> I think the most powerful part is still [30:59] coming up. But first I have to tell you [31:00] about wheels to lease because they just [31:02] saved me real money. We got our minivan [31:04] through them and I'm paying $250 less a [31:06] month than we were for our last car that [31:08] we leased. There was a Honda Pilot which [31:09] is even a better car and every single [31:11] month that is $3,000 a year staying in [31:14] my pocket. Most people just sign [31:16] whatever the dealer puts in front of [31:17] them. Whales actually works the numbers. [31:19] They have been doing this since 1989. So [31:21] they know where the cars are and where [31:23] the market is and how to get you the [31:25] best deal, the best bang for your buck. [31:27] They do new leases, used cars, [31:29] commercial vehicles, basically every [31:30] major brand. and they can deliver it [31:32] right to your house. I personally am a [31:35] customer, which is why I'm comfortable [31:36] telling you about them. And if you're [31:37] getting a car anyway, make the call [31:39] first. Call Saul at 7188718715. What was it like when you [33:04] saw Sasha? [33:06] >> Um, that was one of my powerful days in [33:10] Gaza. We was in Rafa Rafa [33:14] and we were together [33:16] and in the days we were like 3 days [33:19] together and all the other times I was [33:22] by myself. I was half year with two [33:25] Thailand's peoples hostages and I was by [33:28] myself for all these two years and those [33:31] three days with Sasha was the powerful [33:33] day of my life. I mean I saw Jewish and [33:37] I we speak Hebrew. They wasn't allowed [33:40] us to speak but we were speaking really [33:44] really silence and the days with Sasha [33:47] was the powerful days in Gaza and I saw [33:51] him like a big brother for me and like [33:53] um like he can protect me from those he [33:56] was like he really really big and I I [33:59] thought he can protect me from those uh [34:02] those Nazis Muslims Nazim [34:06] um and it was really really nice uh you [34:09] know we live in Israel and we don't [34:12] appreciate uh the together and in the [34:16] time I was with him it was the powerful [34:19] days and the happiest days in Gaza and I [34:23] was ready to be him like more 10 years I [34:26] don't care just I want to be with this [34:28] guy and you know is me and him we are [34:32] really really change in the personality [34:36] and still you were the best friends and [34:38] um Till this day I'm with him. He got [34:41] married uh last month. I was in the in [34:44] the marry in the katuna [34:47] >> wedding [34:48] >> wedding and um it's uh it was the [34:52] wedding him and s him and Sappir was [34:56] maybe the the most exciting thing I see [34:58] in my eyes. I was crying because you see [35:02] how you know how crazy is the life. One [35:05] day you with guy in Rafa we are going to [35:09] be dead soon and then the morning the [35:13] next morning you are uh with him and on [35:16] his wedding so it's crazy and um I love [35:20] him really really hard. [35:22] >> What was it like when you realized that [35:26] you were finally finally going to be [35:29] freed and uh taken out of Gaza? Well uh [35:33] in first I wasn't believe till the till [35:36] I was in uh the Red Cross jeep I wasn't [35:39] believe I'm going out. They was taking [35:42] me for a tunnel. Um uh 3 days before we [35:46] got out from Gaza, they they put us in [35:49] tunnel and I enter for the tunnel [35:53] and it was really it's really really [35:56] scary to to go in tunnel and we were [36:00] like 13 ft under the ground and they was [36:06] like threw me in a really small room [36:09] really really small and I saw uh maybe [36:13] eight or seven or eight other hostages. [36:18] It was um [36:20] you know [36:22] it it was really sad to look at things. [36:25] There was everybody really skinny and [36:29] really really bright. Everybody like so [36:32] white and uh skinny and everybody scared [36:36] and no power. There is no power for no [36:39] one. to everybody like cuz like I I felt [36:43] like I saw seven dead bodies in really [36:46] really small place. I enter and I saw [36:49] all the other hostages and I I was [36:53] thinking I'm in a in movie. It was like [36:56] it was so amazing. It's so it was in it [37:00] was amazing. It was I I like doing like [37:03] this. I say, "What what is in front of [37:05] my eyes?" And we start to talking and [37:08] they said, "You sound like Arabic." And [37:11] they was teaching me the Hebrew again. I [37:14] was uh lost all my Hebrew. Um and they [37:18] was helping me out. And we were three [37:20] days together in the tunnel. No one can [37:22] sleep. We are really really exciting. [37:26] And uh it's I wasn't believe. And we go [37:31] out uh to the land up to the we was [37:34] underground right they was putting us on [37:37] the ground we up to jeep kamas jeep [37:41] with other hostages [37:44] and there was a field they was like [37:47] doing a video chat from the cell phone [37:51] of the terrorist with my mother and [37:52] father. [37:54] Um and I was smiling and in my inside I [37:59] was say like um it's not going to [38:01] happen. Uh we're going back to the [38:03] tunnel. Something will be happen. It's [38:06] like um I I thought it just is just want [38:11] to do videos and I said my mother don't [38:14] worry it's going to be okay. And uh I [38:18] don't I don't think I was going out and [38:22] the the red co jeep come for me. And [38:25] maybe [38:27] 5 minutes before I uh go up for the [38:29] jeep, one of the terrorists they take me [38:33] um for uh no one was uh around us and it [38:39] came a Mercedes Jeep. nice Mercedes, my [38:43] dream Mercedes GLE, like you know, [38:46] really, [38:46] >> really expensive Jeep Mercedes. [38:50] Um, they said me go up for the Jeep and [38:53] I said, "Oh my god, what is happening?" [38:55] And um I got in the jeep uh one of the [39:00] the biggest Hamas leaders or Jiad Islami [39:03] leaders and he said he asking me why you [39:06] talk bad about Jiad Islam and Kamas. you [39:09] said we are torturing you and stuff to [39:11] the other hostages. Why you say [39:13] something like that? Um [39:17] I said you know I don't know what what [39:19] you know but I got tortured a lot and uh [39:25] and okay I won't say any word and he [39:27] said don't talk any bad word on us [39:31] because we'll come back to you in your [39:33] houses. [39:35] They want me to be silenced. They don't [39:36] want me to speak. And he said uh the [39:40] next time I was be near the border they [39:42] will come come for me and take me [39:44] another time was Jess and they said we [39:47] will back to Israel and the 7th October [39:50] will come again so you should run away [39:53] for Germany [39:54] uh you know I just want go home and I [39:57] said okay okay whatever you want I come [39:59] to Germany I don't want to stay in [40:01] Israel I wouldn't say any bad word for [40:04] kamas and They it was really it was [40:09] really really scared [40:11] and the jeep come take me back to my [40:14] home and uh you know the recovery you [40:17] know I I end one war and I start uh the [40:22] recover war uh it's [40:26] not not easy war now it's really really [40:29] uh tough tough tough war the the [40:33] recovery [40:34] >> could you tell us about like the PTSD [40:36] because you know you're not there [40:37] anymore but psychologically you're you [40:40] were there for so long and and it's [40:42] still you know like you're mentioning [40:43] like you're still broken. Could you [40:45] could you just explain some of the [40:46] struggles and challenges that you have [40:48] every day now? [40:49] >> You said I'm not there and that's not [40:52] correct. Um you know my body physically [40:55] got out from Gaza but my soul is stayed [40:58] in Gaza till the day I die. Um I you [41:02] know Gaza will be forever in my memories [41:05] and in my soul. Um uh till the till this [41:09] day my body I don't talk about the soul [41:12] is in recover. I've got a lot of issues [41:17] healthy issues in my stomach in my ears. [41:20] Till this day I'm in recover for the [41:22] body. [41:24] I think the soul will never get [41:26] recovered. I think uh you know I'm awake [41:30] in the morning and I'm sweat and uh I [41:34] scream a lot and people need to to hold [41:36] me in a lot of uh uh situation. Um I [41:41] don't like go out from the home a lot. I [41:43] don't like traveling a lot. [41:46] um you know uh the PTSD uh a lot of [41:49] people uh killed themselves because the [41:52] PTSD there is 100 uh 36 soldiers with [41:57] PTSD who end this life they don't want [42:00] to be in the life anymore [42:02] uh it's a tough war but I'm do it I I [42:08] will I will I I be the winner just I got [42:12] out from Gaza physically I will got out [42:14] from Gaza [42:17] full complete and I will I wouldn't take [42:21] the kamas will not let me down and the [42:26] kamas I don't give them the win no one [42:29] will win us and we will recover ourself [42:33] at the best way we can it's difficult [42:36] it's not easy but we will do it because [42:40] uh we have to do it [42:43] you know a lot of people uh were dead in [42:46] Gaza uh hostages, soldiers, civilian in [42:50] 7 October and God was saving me. So I [42:55] have I'm I'm have to do it for God to to [42:59] be recovered and that's the hero. That's [43:03] what hero do. it he grow up and he take [43:07] responsibility of the lives you know uh [43:11] there is a lot of uh bad things happen [43:13] to everybody [43:15] but the question is what you do uh with [43:18] this uh hard times are you stay in the [43:22] bed or you come or you get up from the [43:26] bed and let the sun come to the life or [43:28] you want to be in the dark so uh I uh [43:33] you know I I choose is every day uh [43:37] don't to be stayed in dark and every day [43:39] I choose to give the sun come back to my [43:43] face and uh every day is war in the [43:47] first [43:49] but I'm doing it and I will keep doing [43:52] it from for all Israel I will do it [43:58] it's really powerful and that's what a [44:00] hero is and uh you know it's it's ironic [44:03] the terrorist threatens you that that [44:05] October 7th is going to happen again, [44:07] tells you to go to Germany, but not only [44:09] did you go back to Israel and you're so [44:12] vocal now, you know, you started your [44:14] own podcast. Could you and we'll link it [44:16] down below, but could you share with [44:17] everyone what you're up to today? [44:19] >> Yeah, right now I'm fighting uh the [44:22] anti-sheik in the world. I fight in [44:27] bad Israelis people like those two two [44:30] uh uh two peoples who made Naza and I'm [44:35] fight for my friends the soldiers with [44:39] the PTSD and I you know I've got [44:42] something [44:45] you know that's the hostages sign and I [44:48] will keep uh put this in the faces of [44:52] the people who want to forget who want [44:54] to you know uh make laugh on it and uh [44:59] this sign is come it's will be with me [45:03] in the grave and uh I will keep [45:06] continuing to fight for people know what [45:10] we have been through in October 7 in [45:13] Israel um we you know that the kamas [45:16] peoples uh they not peoples they animals [45:19] and I will keep h put it on the mind the [45:23] 7 October and I will never never let [45:26] anyone forget the 7 October. That's my [45:29] uh job. Um it's not easy and I will do [45:33] it. [45:34] >> I wasn't sure if Rah was going to share [45:36] what he's about to share, but he ended [45:37] up sharing and I'm so thankful and [45:39] excited for you to hear it. And you know, [46:33] you're you're a different person now. Uh [46:35] but you know there some of the good [46:38] aspects that comes out of it is you got [46:40] to meet President Trump and you got to [46:42] meet so many you know officials in the [46:44] world and and also you know I saw you [46:46] posting online about you know uh one of [46:48] the kamas captives that got you the IDF [46:51] was able to kill him. How did how does [46:53] that feel to be you know you're you're [46:55] so on the bottom of the world and now [46:56] and then you're on the top of the world. [46:58] How does that feel that contrast? Ah [47:00] that that's uh that's amazing because [47:03] it's right on the B in the Bible um I [47:06] don't know there is a a sign in the B in [47:09] the Bible which said from the the lowest [47:12] place you will be in the in the highest [47:16] place um like you [47:20] our father Yousef he was in in tunnels [47:24] in you know under the ground and he was [47:27] he became to be the king of Egypt. So, [47:30] uh, you know, it's crazy because one day [47:35] you've got no light and the other day [47:37] you're in the law office with Donald [47:39] Trump. And, uh, it's it's crazy. But, [47:42] um, you know, I can't quit. I can to go [47:46] to Thailand or some place and said I [47:48] don't want, leave me alone. [47:51] But, I will meet all the the important [47:53] peoples in the world. And also in the [47:56] White House I was everybody I was meet [47:59] Rubio also and I was you know I I'm I'm [48:04] speaking to them because I want [48:06] everybody to understand [48:08] who what is Gaza what is Palestine means [48:12] and what is Hamas means and I want all [48:15] the peoples in the world in the top and [48:18] in the the the you know the normal [48:20] peoples I want everybody know what's [48:23] happening here in 7 October. Everyone, [48:28] >> we're putting this out on the [48:29] anniversary of 3 years of October 7th. [48:32] Uh coming up October 15th, it's going to [48:34] be the first full year of you being out [48:36] of Gaza. What is what is the most [48:39] important message that the world needs [48:41] to remember about what happened? [48:45] >> First of all, I'm Isai, okay? Not Hamas, [48:50] not Jihad, not Iran, not Iraq and any [48:55] any other terrorist groups. No one will [48:58] put us down. No one. You can't do [49:01] nothing against Israel. We will be stay [49:04] together. The Jewish will never go away [49:07] from this world. I promise that for you. [49:09] And we will stay in in our land in [49:12] Israel. That's our land. A lot of Jewish [49:15] blood was on this land. And we will [49:17] never never never go out for this [49:20] country. That's that that's first of all [49:23] and I want the people uh will understand [49:26] uh people got kidnapped from their own [49:29] homes. It wasn't it wasn't war between [49:32] uh you know uh kamas and IDF uh total [49:37] family of bibbas. Um they took them to [49:42] Gaza and killed them in Gaza. And you [49:45] want me what I want people will be uh [49:49] remember from 7 October the Bibbas [49:52] family always remember the Bibbas family [49:55] and you say the one year I'm I'm out [49:57] from the the captivity but you know I [50:00] ain't free you know I I'm still hostage [50:03] in Gaza you know you see me right here [50:05] but I'm not free my soul all the times [50:09] is in Gaza every day I think about Gaza [50:13] and uh it's I can't run away from it and [50:16] people need to understand. [50:19] Um the war isn't finished. [50:23] Uh we still fighting you know uh my own [50:27] my own fight you know with myself but [50:30] maybe the war is officially ended but [50:32] the war is is with me every day. I will [50:36] never the war isn't for you but not for [50:39] me. [50:41] looking back, you know, you were you [50:43] were hiding the fact that you're this [50:46] you were IDF soldier and they they [50:48] captured you and and the whole time they [50:50] say they're going to kill you and in the [50:53] end so many of them are dead and you're [50:55] out. What's what what do you think is [50:58] your me is is God Hashem's message to [51:01] you personally from everything that [51:03] you've been through? Um, you know, I [51:05] can't answer because I don't know what [51:08] God want for me. [51:11] Um, but I can tell you something about [51:14] God. I was looked in the eyes of one of [51:17] my uh the people who got tortured me, [51:19] you know, the the bad tortures and I [51:22] said right now you do what you want and [51:26] you think no one see and no one hurrying [51:29] but the God you pray for him. you by [51:32] yourself pray for God he is look at you [51:36] and I said he will come back for you it [51:38] will it wouldn't be end here and before [51:42] 3 months ago the I got called from the [51:46] Shabbak and he said um Abu Ysef is dead [51:50] and the same Abu Ysef I was looked in [51:53] his eyes and I said you will be dead [51:55] don't do what you do because God is [51:57] looking and he was laughing he said God [51:59] is on our side And I think right now he [52:02] is on you know the devil's side. So um [52:06] um I think no one can run away from God. [52:09] And I'm think [52:12] the message of God giving to me I think [52:15] personally is come back in cha right now [52:18] you know [52:21] and Shabbat and holidays and maser and [52:26] all the the mitzvah we can do. I think [52:29] the message for God to Israel and to the [52:32] Jewish people is stop the war between us [52:36] and start make mitzvah and save the [52:38] Shabbat. I think uh the Shabbat is the [52:43] that that's the message for God for me. [52:45] Save the Shabbat after two years of [52:48] captivity and one year of recovery. I [52:51] think God wants for me to save the [52:53] Shabbat. [52:55] really beautiful Ram you're a hero and [52:57] we wish you only peace in your life and [53:00] Hashem should continue to amplify your [53:02] voice and physically mentally everything [53:04] should be well with you and uh Mashem in [53:07] the right time hope to dance by your [53:09] wedding and uh you should make many sas [53:11] and do many mitzvah and uh thank you for [53:14] taking the time to do this [53:15] >> that's right it's my pleasure I'm always [53:18] um set up to speak in front of people's [53:21] I made speeches and uh that's my uh uh [53:25] you know I have to do it and uh thank [53:28] you for giving me the you know the place [53:30] to do it.
