Transcript [00:00] And you're also pro [00:01] >> peptides. [00:02] >> Peptides. What what is that? So these [00:05] peptide I'm very I'm I'm a big fan of [00:07] future sort of facing medicine longevity [00:11] escape velocity and the idea that very [00:14] very soon because of artificial [00:15] intelligence and our our ability to [00:18] inject signaling molecules that will [00:21] change our DNA. We're we're about to [00:24] undergo this process where there will be [00:28] age reversal injections that will change [00:31] everything like for us. Okay. I think [00:34] you and I are about the same age for us. [00:36] >> I don't think so. How old are you? [00:37] >> I'm 68. [00:38] >> Oh, almost 70. [00:39] >> Okay. So, for us, um, you know, we're [00:43] expected to live, if you look at the [00:45] actuarial tables, right? Mid 80s, late [00:48] 80s, [00:50] >> but we're but if you stay preserved, if [00:53] you keep yourself healthy so that you [00:56] can take advantage of the things that [00:58] are just about to come out, right? [01:01] because of artificial intelligence. We [01:03] should be able to extend that to the [01:05] 110s, 120s. We're very, very lucky to be [01:09] alive at this point in human history [01:11] right now. You are incredibly lucky. [01:14] >> I've heard you talk about this a lot of [01:16] other podcasts and I think it's great [01:17] cuz you did all your certifications and [01:19] you've been studying it. [01:21] problemats [01:26] who haven't studied it and are just [01:28] trying to get in the game because it's [01:29] popular or making a ton of money and [01:31] they don't know. People will go to them [01:33] and just trust them, but they might have [01:35] underlying issues that don't correspond [01:38] well with the peptides or the GLP1s or [01:42] they're just not good candidates and it [01:44] could affect them negatively. [01:45] >> I think you're exactly right, but it's [01:47] even worse than that. It's not just [01:48] doctors. It's Jim Bros and chiropractors [01:51] and social media influencers who are [01:53] giving medical advice based on no [01:55] science and recommending that people go [01:58] online and most of this stuff you have [02:00] no idea where it's coming from whether [02:01] it's China or some other part of the [02:04] world and it could have terrible you [02:06] know poison in it and we're injecting [02:09] things it look even the stuff that we [02:10] inject now the peptides that are coming [02:12] from realies we really still don't have [02:16] true medical science to back up you're [02:18] on board with Ompic and all that, right? [02:20] >> Oh, I well though that we have science [02:22] for all of the approved. [02:23] >> You don't think that one day we're going [02:24] to find out that this is [02:26] >> I don't I'll tell you why. So, ompic it [02:29] just we just happened to discover after [02:31] about for example Botox okay was a drug [02:35] that some of themologist [02:39] opthalmologists were using to correct [02:40] like an aigmatism okay [02:43] >> okay okay when you had a spasticity of [02:44] one of the intraocular muscles and then [02:47] this opthalmologist said I wonder how [02:51] this would work if you injected it to [02:53] the periocular muscles around the eyes I [02:57] wonder what it would due to wrinkling. [02:58] And lo and behold, he took this drug [03:00] that Allergan had sitting on the shelf [03:02] that made absolutely no money for them, [03:04] right? And he started injecting into the [03:06] wrinkles and it worked. And overnight, [03:09] it became like the biggest selling drug [03:12] Allergan had ever had, right? Well, [03:15] Ompic and Wgoi, [03:17] they were used for and Monaro, they were [03:20] used for diabetes for like 15 years. [03:24] And suddenly someone said, "You know, [03:26] notice how everybody on these drugs are [03:28] skinny. They've lost so much weight. I [03:31] wonder if it could be used in [03:33] nondiabetics [03:34] just for weight loss." And it turned out [03:37] to be like a trillion dollar drug. [03:40] >> But have we been doing that long enough [03:42] to really know what the [03:44] >> Well, for diabetics, what [03:45] >> for diabetics? I'm talking about for [03:47] non-diabetics because their biology is [03:49] different. [03:49] >> Yeah. They're much more vulnerable, [03:51] right? So if it if it's safe in someone [03:55] who is much more susceptible to any [03:58] potential disease, it's going to be [04:00] probably a lot safer in those. [04:02] >> You're in shape. Do you take it? [04:04] >> Okay. So I do I micro dose it. I'm [04:06] obsessed with them. Okay. Because it's [04:08] all about sugar control. [04:12] The theory is, and it's not even theory, [04:14] it's now medical fact. A lot of the [04:16] reasons we age is because we have sugar [04:19] in our blood circulating and it causes [04:22] inflammatory effects which lead to aging [04:24] and expression of cancer and [04:26] cardiovascular disease and dementia so [04:28] on. So if you can minimize the amount of [04:32] free floating sugar in your blood and [04:35] that's what these drugs do because it [04:37] makes it more ins makes your insulin [04:39] more sensitive. Insulin is the hormone [04:40] that shoves it into the cells out of the [04:42] bloodstream that it reduces overall [04:44] inflammation and reduces aging and [04:47] reduces disease. And what's interesting, [04:50] ever since we started using these GLP-1 [04:53] drugs for weight loss, we realized they [04:56] work to prevent recurrent heart attacks. [04:58] They work for fatty liver disease. They [05:00] work for endstage renal disease. They [05:03] work for alcoholism. They're getting an [05:06] indication now for Alzheimer's. These [05:09] this is these are miracle drugs. These [05:11] are the greatest. So I and my friends [05:13] and everybody else I know even if we're [05:15] not overweight, we do a small amount [05:18] just to decrease the sugar in the blood, [05:21] decreasing the inflammatory effects of [05:23] sugar. It's called inflammaging. [05:25] >> Did you ever get a chance to debate [05:28] Jillian about this? [05:30] >> Did you see that? Did you see how you [05:31] had a thing with her? Well, I know that [05:33] you guys were going back and forth and [05:34] arguing about it because she's very anti [05:37] >> the GLP ones. [05:38] >> Yes. Yeah. [05:39] >> And Jillian Michael [05:41] >> Jillian Michaels came out when this [05:42] became a thing. Ompic, she said, "Oh, [05:46] you should die." And by ironic that [05:48] happened to be when The Biggest Loser [05:49] documentary on Netflix came out that [05:51] showed that they were using caffeine and [05:54] starving the patients. I mean, you know, [05:56] she she was purporting that everyone [05:58] should just do diet and exercise and [06:00] stay away from these drugs and people [06:01] are going to grow a third head and it's [06:04] a disaster. And I was saying, "No, [06:06] actually, this is the biggest invention [06:08] in the history of medicines curing the [06:11] number one risk factor for the top four [06:13] causes of death. You're completely [06:15] wrong." And I started getting obnoxious [06:17] in the media. I came out of Craigs. I [06:19] don't know if you you ever go to [06:20] Craigslist. [06:20] >> That's where I saw you last time. I told [06:22] Heather I saw [06:22] >> I heard that and you didn't come by and [06:24] say hi. I don't know you now. I will. [06:26] Please do. [06:27] >> I didn't know you. I mean, I knew you. I [06:28] went, "Oh, I love Cuz I love botch." And [06:31] I don't watch Bravo, so I didn't know [06:32] your wife, but I knew who you were. [06:34] Okay. [06:34] >> And my friend uh produced your [06:36] >> I would have made him come say hi. [06:37] >> Yeah. [laughter] I just stared at you. [06:39] And so I was walking out of uh Craigs [06:43] and you know there's paparazzi there, [06:44] which you know, I'm a I'm a very [06:46] low-level celebrity. It's even insulting [06:48] to the word celebrity to attach it to [06:50] me. But I love when paparazzi comes by [06:53] want to takes a wants to take a picture [06:54] with me, right? [06:55] >> I bring my own. [laughter] [06:57] >> And you don't hire your own papar. I [06:59] would I would but uh you know [07:01] >> I do I want to see much more. [07:03] >> It was a thing on housewives. [07:05] >> Oh [07:05] >> yes. They accused us of hiring paparazzi [07:07] at Disneyland. I mean please. [07:10] >> So [laughter] [07:10] I come I come out of Craig's and they [07:12] go, "What do you think of Jillian [07:14] Michaels giving advice about his epic?" [07:16] And I said, "If Jillian Michaels wants [07:17] to give medical advice, I suggest she [07:19] take the MCATs and go to medical school. [07:21] Otherwise, shut up." You know, that kind [07:23] of thing. Because I said, you know, I I [07:26] don't think you should get your medical [07:28] advice from a personal trainer. Then we [07:29] started insulting each other. [07:31] >> You know, she's right here in the [07:32] building. [07:32] >> I I Is she really? [07:34] >> Yes. [07:34] >> Are you serious? [07:35] >> That's [laughter] very bad. [07:36] >> No, but she can't hear it. Okay, good. [07:38] She won't hear it. [07:39] >> What's interesting? [07:40] >> She's not filming today, right? [07:41] >> I don't know. [laughter] That's very [07:42] bad. [07:43] >> I don't know. [07:43] >> I saw her yesterday here. Well, she [07:45] invited me to go on her podcast and [07:47] debate, and I thought, I'm not going to [07:48] debate medicine with you because, you [07:51] know, you're fully unarmed, so what's [07:52] the point anyway? But she's completely [07:54] wrong about it. These drugs are a [07:56] miracle. They're they're incredibly good [07:57] for you. I'm not recommending [07:58] >> Did you lose a lot of weight? [08:00] >> No. No. I've never been heavy, but I [08:02] mean, you know, if diet and exercise [08:03] worked so well, there wouldn't be an [08:05] obesity epidemic in this country.
