Transcript [00:01] Hey CBI Israel friends, we're about to [00:03] celebrate Sukkot, the feast of [00:05] tabernacles, also known as the feast of [00:08] final in gathering. Right behind me, you [00:10] can see this is a suka. If you've never [00:13] seen it, I want to show you a little [00:14] bit. Coming in, this is one of the [00:17] feasts that God commanded the people of [00:20] Israel to celebrate. It's one of three [00:22] feasts. So remember, it's redemption, [00:25] transformation, consummation, [00:27] redemption. That's Pesak, the feast of [00:29] unleven bread. When we remember that God [00:32] has provided atonement for us, that he [00:34] has made a way for us for our sins to be [00:36] wiped clean for us to come before the [00:38] presence of God. As Christians, we [00:40] believe that in Yeshua, we have this [00:42] gift of God forgiving us. And then we [00:45] have transformation, the the feast of [00:47] first fruits, the feast of Shàuot. And [00:50] that is one when the Holy Spirit was [00:51] poured in Pentecost to believers in [00:54] Jesus. We see the first fruits, [00:56] transformation, the Holy Spirit living [00:57] in us, breathing in us. And then finally [01:01] this suka, what does it point to? One [01:03] day in Zechariah chapter 14, we will see [01:06] that people will come. The nations will [01:07] come to Jerusalem. Why? Because right [01:09] there on the Mount of Olives, God will [01:13] set his feet upon the Mount of Olives, [01:15] Jesus will return and the mountain will [01:17] split in two. He will reign on the earth [01:19] and the nations will celebrate what [01:21] exactly? They will celebrate sukkot. [01:24] Why? Because God is finally dwelling [01:28] with people. The promise, the redemptive [01:31] story that God has been tracing through [01:34] the people of Israel. Finally, all the [01:36] nations of the earth will say the God of [01:39] Israel is the one true God. That is the [01:42] celebration of Sukkot.
The three annual Jewish feasts tell one redemptive story, and Sukkot is the final chapter. 🌿
Yom Kippur shows us that God made a way for our sins to be wiped clean. Shavuot shows us the first fruits of the Holy Spirit within us.
And Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, points to the day when God will dwell with His people on the earth.
Zechariah 14 says the nations will one day come up to Jerusalem to celebrate this very feast.
Stay with us this week. More Sukkot insights are coming. 🙏
