[00:29]
>> From the pulpit of the First Baptist
[00:31]
Church of Dallas, Texas, this is Pathway
[00:34]
to Victory with Dr. Robert Jeffress.
[00:37]
>> Hi, I'm Robert Jeffress and welcome
[00:39]
again to Pathway to Victory. All of us
[00:41]
know the uneasy [music]
[00:43]
feeling of watching a shaky stock market
[00:45]
and wondering whether our savings will
[00:47]
evaporate. But Revelation 18 describes a
[00:51]
far worse day still to come when [music]
[00:53]
the entire world economy will completely
[00:56]
crumble. Imagine waking up to the fact
[00:59]
that every stock, every savings account,
[01:02]
every possession you own has been
[01:04]
reduced [music]
[01:05]
to nothing. My message is titled The Day
[01:08]
the Dow Jones hits zero [music]
[01:11]
on today's edition of Pathway to
[01:13]
Victory.
[01:20]
>> The Book of Revelation is filled with
[01:21]
fantastic imagery and vivid depictions
[01:24]
that many believers find intimidating.
[01:26]
But God's word was never meant to
[01:28]
confuse or discourage you. In his
[01:30]
best-selling [music] book, Final
[01:31]
Conquest, Dr. Robert Jeffress walks you
[01:33]
through Revelation verse by verse,
[01:36]
explaining its signs [music] and symbols
[01:37]
in plain terms you can understand.

[01:58]
>> The coronavirus pandemic [music] has had
[02:00]
many painful side effects, and the least
[02:03]
of which is not the economic side
[02:05]
effects and problems.
[02:07]
Uh
[02:08]
we've seen it everywhere. Millions of
[02:10]
jobs lost in the last several months.
[02:14]
Businesses being shuttered left and
[02:16]
right.
[02:18]
People's 401K retirement plans
[02:21]
decimated.
[02:23]
We've seen this in just a few months.
[02:25]
You know, in the period of time between
[02:28]
March the 19th and February the 19th and
[02:31]
March 22nd, just 22 trading days, the
[02:34]
S&P stock average went down 30%.
[02:38]
It was the fastest drop of that momentum
[02:42]
in the history of the stock market.
[02:44]
And although the stock market has
[02:46]
recovered somewhat, it's still very,
[02:48]
very unsettled.
[02:51]
But did you know the Bible predicts that
[02:53]
there is a day coming
[02:56]
when the Dow Jones and every other
[02:58]
average will go to zero,
[03:02]
and it will never recover?
[03:05]
In fact, every economic measure will go
[03:08]
to zero.
[03:09]
On one single day in history,
[03:13]
the world economy is going to collapse.
[03:16]
And it's that day that we're going to
[03:18]
look at today in our study of the book
[03:21]
of Revelation. If you have your Bible,
[03:23]
turn to Revelation chapter 18.
[03:26]
Revelation chapter 18 verses 1 to 3, an
[03:30]
announcement of judgment against
[03:31]
Babylon. Look at it with me.
[03:34]
After these things, I, that is John, saw
[03:36]
another angel like the one who had
[03:38]
announced the earlier destruction. I saw
[03:41]
another angel coming down from heaven
[03:43]
having great authority,
[03:45]
and the earth was illumined with his
[03:47]
glory. And he cried out with a mighty
[03:50]
voice saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon
[03:55]
the great."
[03:57]
Why does he repeat, "Fallen, fallen"?
[03:59]
Remember in chapter 16, we see those
[04:01]
words. They are prophetic looking
[04:04]
forward to what was about to happen as
[04:06]
if it had already taken place. And now
[04:09]
the actual event takes place. So, the
[04:11]
angel announces, "Fallen, fallen is
[04:13]
Babylon the great." Perhaps the
[04:15]
repetition's for emphasis. Perhaps he's
[04:17]
talking about the two aspects of the
[04:19]
kingdom fallen, the religious aspect
[04:23]
fallen, the economic system.
[04:25]
"Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great."
[04:29]
But most importantly to answer is what
[04:31]
does John mean? What does the angel mean
[04:33]
by Babylon? Remember in 17, it referred
[04:37]
to a religious system.
[04:40]
But in chapter 18, it refers to both a
[04:43]
system and a city that was the capital
[04:47]
of that system.
[04:49]
I use this analogy before, but just
[04:51]
think of Wall Street. When we think
[04:53]
about, "Oh, Wall Street had a bad day
[04:55]
today. Bad day on Wall Street." Are we
[04:58]
talking about that little area in
[05:00]
southern Manhattan, Wall Street, a
[05:02]
geographical location, or are we talking
[05:05]
about the system? We're talking about
[05:07]
the system. We're talking about the
[05:08]
economic
[05:10]
measure of our entire health, Wall
[05:14]
Street, the stock averages. It's the
[05:16]
same way here.
[05:18]
When the angel announces, "Babylon is
[05:21]
fallen", he's talking about the system,
[05:25]
but he's also talking about the capital
[05:27]
city behind that system because over and
[05:30]
over in this chapter, we find the
[05:33]
description of Babylon as that great
[05:36]
city, the great city and system of
[05:39]
Babylon. Now, look at the appeal for
[05:42]
believers to leave Babylon beginning in
[05:44]
verse 4. "I heard another voice from
[05:46]
heaven."
[05:47]
And most likely this is the voice of God
[05:50]
himself saying, "Come out of her, my
[05:53]
people, so that you will not participate
[05:55]
in her sins and receive of her plagues."
[06:00]
Angels don't have people they can
[06:02]
command to do certain things. So, this
[06:04]
is God saying, "I want my people who are
[06:07]
living in Babylon to come out of
[06:09]
Babylon, not participate in her sins,
[06:12]
and receive my judgment." What were the
[06:14]
sins? Well, there were many sins in
[06:16]
Babylon, but the root sin that fueled
[06:19]
this economic system was greed.
[06:23]
The desire for more and more and more.
[06:27]
That's what the problem here was. It was
[06:29]
the problem of greed.
[06:32]
Look at verse 5. For Babylon's sins have
[06:35]
piled up as high as heaven, and God has
[06:40]
remembered her iniquities.
[06:43]
Her sins have piled up. This is a direct
[06:45]
allusion to Genesis chapter 11, the
[06:47]
original founding of the city of Babel.
[06:50]
And remember they built that tower as a
[06:52]
sign of their rebellion against the true
[06:54]
God. And they built that tower brick
[06:57]
upon brick upon brick upon brick.
[07:00]
That's the way sin is. Sin upon sin upon
[07:04]
sin upon sin until we build that wall of
[07:07]
separation between God and us. Her sins
[07:10]
have piled up as far as heaven. I'll say
[07:13]
more about that in a moment. So, what's
[07:15]
the remedy? Verse 6, for the sin, look,
[07:18]
"Pay her back, God, even as she has
[07:21]
paid. And give Babylon back to her
[07:23]
double according to her deeds. In the
[07:26]
cup in which she has mixed, mix twice as
[07:29]
much for her. To the degree that she has
[07:31]
glorified herself and lived sensuously,
[07:34]
to the same degree give her torment."
[07:38]
This is what we call
[07:40]
in scripture lex talionis, the law of
[07:45]
retribution.
[07:47]
It's the basis of the Mosaic law. It's
[07:49]
the basis of almost every legal system
[07:52]
in the world today. The law of
[07:54]
retribution. An eye for an eye and a
[07:58]
tooth for a tooth. You punish people
[08:01]
according to their sin. You give them
[08:04]
back
[08:05]
not only what they deserve, but in this
[08:06]
case, double what they
[08:09]
deserve.
[08:10]
Now, I know you read this and you say,
[08:12]
"What? And that's kind of strange."
[08:14]
God, don't you need to settle down a
[08:16]
little bit? That's a little angry, isn't
[08:18]
it? Remember what your son said, you
[08:20]
know,
[08:21]
turn the other cheek.
[08:23]
Shouldn't we
[08:25]
be forgiving instead of want
[08:27]
retribution?
[08:29]
Listen, there is a difference between
[08:32]
vengeance
[08:33]
and justice.
[08:35]
When somebody offends us,
[08:38]
we are never to seek vengeance. You know
[08:40]
what vengeance is? It's hurting somebody
[08:43]
else because they hurt me.
[08:45]
Okay, I'll admit it. This is the part
[08:47]
where I stop preaching just for a second
[08:50]
and make a little bit of an ask. You're
[08:52]
here, you're watching, and that tells me
[08:54]
something about you. You're serious
[08:57]
about God's word. So, let's make sure
[08:59]
you never lose track of us. Three things
[09:02]
I'm asking you to do. Hit subscribe,
[09:05]
click the bell, that's how we'll tap you
[09:07]

[09:09]

[09:12]
There's a free resource down there with
[09:14]
your name on it. No donation, no catch,
[09:17]
just something I want to put in your
[09:18]
hands. Are you finished? Great. Let's
[09:21]
get back to today's message.
[09:24]
When we forgive, we give up our desire
[09:26]
for vengeance, we should never give up
[09:29]
our desire for justice. What you see
[09:31]
happening to Babylon is justice. It's
[09:34]
God settling the score. Look at verse 8.
[09:37]
For this reason, in one day her plagues
[09:40]
will come, pestilence and mourning and
[09:42]
famine, and she will be burned up with
[09:44]
fire, for the Lord God who judges her is
[09:47]
strong. It's going to happen in one day.
[09:49]
This great city and system will be
[09:51]
destroyed. You know, again, going back
[09:54]
to ancient Babylon, there's a precedent
[09:56]
for this.
[09:57]
Remember the story in Daniel chapter 5?
[09:59]
Belshazzar was the king of Babylon, and
[10:02]
they had a great banquet, and there was
[10:04]
that handwriting on the wall, and Daniel
[10:07]
interpreted it. Everybody was astounded.
[10:09]
This mysterious hand writing something
[10:12]
on the wall.
[10:13]
What does it mean? And Daniel translated
[10:16]
it for Belshazzar.
[10:18]
For you, Belshazzar, have been weighed
[10:20]
and found deficient in God's scales, and
[10:24]
tonight you will be destroyed by the
[10:26]
Medes and the Persians.
[10:29]
That night was October the 12th, 539 BC.
[10:32]
We know from history what happened. When
[10:35]
Daniel left the king's presence that
[10:37]
very night, the Medes and the Persians
[10:40]
came and overtook Babylon. It happened
[10:43]
in one day, one night. It will be the
[10:45]
same for the future Babylon as well. You
[10:48]
know, we have a precedent for
[10:51]
terrible economic calamities that
[10:53]
occurred in one day. October 29th, 1929
[10:57]
is known as Black Tuesday, when the
[10:59]
stock market just about collapsed. Or
[11:02]
even in more recent days, September
[11:04]
16th, 2008, our banking system just
[11:07]
about collapsed, had it not been for the
[11:10]
Federal Reserve loaning $85 billion to
[11:13]
the AIG corporation. All of those are
[11:16]
just a precursor to that final collapse
[11:20]
that will come.
[11:21]
By the way, here's a great warning for
[11:23]
anybody who puts their trust in their
[11:26]
money, in their stocks, in their
[11:29]
possessions. In Proverbs 23:5, Solomon,
[11:33]
the richest man of his day, said, "Cast
[11:36]
but a glance at riches, and they fly
[11:38]
away, for they will surely sprout wings
[11:42]
and fly away like an eagle."
[11:44]
Have you ever had that happen with your
[11:46]
money?
[11:47]
One day you have it, the next day it
[11:49]
just kind of flies away, it disappears.
[11:52]
That is how transitory wealth is. It can
[11:55]
disappear overnight. What's the result
[11:59]
of God's judgment? Look beginning at
[12:01]
verse 9, the anguish over the
[12:03]
destruction of Babylon. First of all,
[12:05]
the anguish of the kings. Verse 9, "And
[12:08]
the kings of the earth who committed
[12:09]
acts of immorality and lived sensuously
[12:12]
with her, will weep and lament over her
[12:14]
when they see the smoke of her burning,
[12:18]
standing at a distance because of the
[12:20]
fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe, woe,
[12:24]
the great city, Babylon, the strong
[12:26]
city, for in one hour your judgment has
[12:30]
come.'"
[12:33]
You know, I
[12:35]
think about this
[12:37]
in terms of something we've seen in our
[12:38]
own history.
[12:40]
John talks about the kings saw the smoke
[12:43]
of her burning.
[12:44]
Remember in chapter 16, we saw the
[12:46]
earthquake uh that happened to the city
[12:49]
of Babylon, and now we see a great fire.
[12:53]
On April the 18th, 1906,
[12:56]
a great earthquake struck the city of
[12:58]
San Francisco, California.
[13:01]
Jack London, the novelist, noted that
[13:04]
that earthquake caused hundreds of
[13:06]
thousands of dollars worth of damage,
[13:09]
but the fires that resulted from that
[13:11]
earthquake caused hundreds of millions
[13:14]
of dollars. And I think that's what you
[13:16]
see happening here. There's the initial
[13:18]
earthquake in chapter 16. Now, here's
[13:21]
the fire that is the result of that
[13:23]
earthquake. There's great anguish with
[13:26]
with the 10 kings, the rulers as they
[13:28]
see the economic system destroyed. Then
[13:31]
there's the anguish of the merchants
[13:33]
themselves, those who are buying and
[13:36]
selling goods. Look at verse 11. And the
[13:38]
merchants of the earth weep and mourn
[13:41]
over her because no one buys their cargo
[13:45]
anymore. And then John lists all of the
[13:48]
things that can no longer be bought or
[13:50]
sold. They just sit on the shelf.
[13:53]
Stores close. Some stores, chains filing
[13:58]
for bankruptcy. There's no longer any
[14:00]
ability or desire to buy and to sell.
[14:04]
Interestingly, of those more than a
[14:06]
dozen things that are mentioned, verse
[14:08]
13 mentions slaves and human lives.
[14:12]
There will no longer be a market for
[14:14]
that.
[14:15]
Even though apparently there was a
[14:17]
market for that during the great
[14:19]
tribulation, slavery will be taking
[14:21]
place.
[14:23]
You know, we see human trafficking even
[14:25]
today is a tremendous problem. The State
[14:27]
Department in a recent report said 25
[14:29]
million human beings in the world have
[14:32]
been bought and sold. That won't occur
[14:35]
during the great tribulation in these
[14:37]
final days. And then you see the anguish
[14:40]
not only of the kings and the merchants,
[14:42]
but also of the seafarers, the sailors.
[14:45]
Look at verse 17. And in 1 hour such
[14:48]
great wealth has been laid waste. And
[14:50]
every shipmaster and every passenger and
[14:53]
sailor and as many as make their living
[14:55]
by the sea, they stood at a distance.
[14:58]
And they were crying out as they saw the
[15:00]
smoke of her burning saying, "What city
[15:04]
is like the great city?" And they threw
[15:07]
dust on their heads. That's a sign of
[15:09]
mourning. We're crying and weeping,
[15:11]
"Woe, woe, the great city in which all
[15:13]
who had ships at sea became rich by her
[15:16]
wealth. For in 1 hour she has been laid
[15:19]
waste."
[15:21]
You know, as John describes these
[15:23]
sailors in their ships looking at a
[15:25]
distance at the destruction of Babylon.
[15:27]
Every time I read that,
[15:29]
I think of that sight from September
[15:31]
11th, 2001.
[15:33]
After the attacks on the Twin Towers in
[15:36]
Manhattan, do you remember that picture?
[15:38]
The towers were still standing, they
[15:40]
were on fire. And remember that picture
[15:42]
of New York Harbor, all the boats that
[15:45]
were in New York Harbor, they had pushed
[15:47]
out from Manhattan and they were
[15:48]
watching from a distance to what was
[15:51]
happening to that great city. Again,
[15:53]
that is just a forerunner of what's
[15:56]
going to happen one day.
[15:58]
Throughout this passage is a reminder
[16:02]
of why we shouldn't put our hope and
[16:04]
build our affection around riches.
[16:07]
Matthew chapter 6 verses 19 through 21,
[16:10]
Jesus said, "Do not store up for
[16:13]
yourselves treasures on earth, where
[16:15]
moth and rust destroy and where thieves
[16:17]
break in and steal. But store up for
[16:20]
yourselves treasures in heaven, where
[16:22]
neither moth nor rust destroys and where
[16:25]
thieves do not break in or steal.
[16:28]
For where your treasure is, there your
[16:31]
heart will be also."
[16:34]
Could I ask you, where is your treasure
[16:36]
today? What is it you really value?
[16:39]
If it's here on earth, remember it's all
[16:42]
going to be either be destroyed or left
[16:44]
behind when you die.
[16:46]
But if your treasure is in heaven,
[16:49]
nothing will ever destroy it for all
[16:51]
eternity.
[16:53]
Verse 20, the acclamation finally of
[16:56]
praise over Babylon. God says in verse
[16:58]
20, "Rejoice over her, oh heavens, and
[17:02]
you saints and apostles and prophets."
[17:03]
That is all believers, because God has
[17:06]
pronounced judgment for you against her.
[17:10]
Babylon is the system that oppressed
[17:12]
people, but especially Christians. And
[17:15]
that's why Christians can rejoice when
[17:17]
God's justice is
[17:19]
executed. Look at this verse 21. Then a
[17:21]
strong angel took up a stone like a
[17:24]
great millstone and threw it into the
[17:26]
sea saying, "So will Babylon the great
[17:29]
city be thrown down with violence and
[17:32]
will not be found any longer."
[17:36]
When he talks about the destruction of
[17:38]
this great city, is he talking about
[17:40]
Babylon itself, the ancient city that's
[17:42]
rebuilt? Maybe. Maybe he's referring to
[17:45]
Babylon as a code like Peter does in 1
[17:48]
Peter 5:13 for Rome. Perhaps it's code
[17:52]
for some other city, London,
[17:56]
Rome, Hong Kong, perhaps New York City.
[18:01]
But you know, whatever the city is,
[18:03]
everybody will be amazed at how quickly
[18:05]
that great city was destroyed.
[18:08]
Verse 22 says, "And the sound of
[18:10]
harpists and musicians and flute players
[18:12]
and trumpeters will not be heard in you
[18:14]
any longer." There'll be no more music.
[18:17]
"No craftsman of any craft will be found
[18:20]
in you any longer.
[18:22]
The sound of a mill will not be heard in
[18:24]
you any longer." That's referring to the
[18:26]
production of food. And look at this
[18:28]
verse 23, "And the light of a lamp will
[18:31]
not shine in you any longer." There'll
[18:33]
be no longer any light.
[18:35]
Could that be a failure or an attack on
[18:38]
the electrical grid? Not only that, "The
[18:40]
voice of the bridegroom and the bride
[18:42]
will not be heard in you any longer. For
[18:44]
your merchants were great men of the
[18:46]
earth because all of the nations were
[18:49]
deceived by your sorcery." People won't
[18:51]
be getting married. They either won't be
[18:53]
able to or they won't want to during
[18:55]
that period of time. Verse 24, "And in
[18:58]
her, Babylon, was found the blood of
[19:01]
prophets and of saints and of all of
[19:04]
those who have been slain on the earth."
[19:06]
Remember this economic system that is
[19:09]
destroyed by God is the very same system
[19:12]
that the Antichrist uses to deprive
[19:15]
Christians of food and other things they
[19:17]
need to survive. Remember, under this
[19:20]
economic system, if you do not receive
[19:22]
the mark of the beast, you will not be
[19:25]
able to buy or to sell.
[19:28]
That's why he says it was in Babylon
[19:30]
that the blood of the prophets was
[19:33]
found.
[19:34]
What is the sin of Babylon that God
[19:37]
punishes? It's the
[19:39]
sin of greed, which is really idolatry.
[19:45]
But listen to me.
[19:46]
The sins of society
[19:49]
are really the sins of the individuals
[19:52]
who make up that society.
[19:55]
When we talk about society's sin of
[19:57]
racism, society's sin of lawlessness,
[20:01]
society's sin of greed, it's easy to
[20:03]
talk about societal sins
[20:06]
because that takes the pressure off of
[20:08]
us.
[20:09]
But remember, the sins of society are
[20:11]
the sins of the individuals in that
[20:14]
society.
[20:16]
The sin of greed that not only will be a
[20:18]
part of the future Antichrist empire,
[20:21]
but is part of our
[20:23]
economy right now.
[20:25]
The sin of greed in America is the sin
[20:28]
of greed of Americans
[20:31]
and even Christians.
[20:33]
And I'd ask you right now,
[20:36]
what is it that you're worshipping? What
[20:38]
is it that you have built your life and
[20:40]
your hope and your happiness and
[20:41]
security around?
[20:44]
Is it in material possessions? Is it in
[20:47]
money?
[20:48]
You know, the greatest antidote to the
[20:50]
problem of greed
[20:53]
is contentment.
[20:55]
Being satisfied with what God has
[20:57]
already provided.
[20:59]
In Proverbs 30:7-9,
[21:02]
Solomon describes what should be the
[21:04]
prayer of every Christian when it comes
[21:06]
to material needs. He says, "Lord, two
[21:08]
things I've asked for you and don't
[21:10]
refuse me before I die.
[21:12]
Keep deception and lies far from me.
[21:15]
Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed
[21:19]
me with the food that is my portion that
[21:21]
I might not be full and deny you and
[21:24]
say, 'Who is the Lord?' or that I might
[21:26]
not be in want and steal and profane the
[21:29]
name of my God."
[21:32]
Solomon's saying, "When it comes from
[21:33]
money, Lord, here's my prayer.
[21:36]
Don't make me poor
[21:39]
and don't make me rich.
[21:41]
Give me just what I need
[21:44]
because I know myself too well. If I
[21:46]
have too much, I'll be tempted to deny
[21:47]
you and say I don't need God.
[21:50]
And if I have too little,
[21:52]
I'll be tempted to steal and defame the
[21:54]
name of God.
[21:55]
Give me just what I need.
[21:59]
Help me to be satisfied with what you've
[22:02]
given me. That's the secret to combating
[22:05]
greed."
[22:07]
I want to go back as we close to verse
[22:09]
10 for a moment.
[22:11]
"Woe, woe, the great city Babylon,
[22:13]
for in one hour your judgment has come."
[22:18]
Remember I said that's an allusion to
[22:19]
Genesis chapter 11 and the building of
[22:22]
that first ancient city of Babel and the
[22:24]
tower that they wanted to build as a
[22:26]
sign of their rebellion against God. I
[22:29]
want you to think about this for a
[22:30]
moment. When they started building
[22:32]
building that tower,
[22:34]
when they put the first brick down,
[22:37]
God didn't destroy the tower.
[22:39]
When they placed the second brick on top
[22:42]
of that first brick, he didn't do a
[22:44]
thing.
[22:45]
God allowed them to build that tower
[22:47]
brick after brick after brick after
[22:51]
brick.
[22:52]
And finally, without one
[22:55]
word of pre-announcement, God came and
[22:58]
visited the city of Babel and brought
[23:00]
his resulting judgment.
[23:04]
That's how God does.
[23:06]
God doesn't always judge sin in our
[23:08]
lives immediately.
[23:11]
For some of you listening right now,
[23:13]
some in this worship center,
[23:15]
you're building a life
[23:18]
apart from God.
[23:20]
Brick by brick, sin by sin.
[23:25]
And frankly, you're surprised God hasn't
[23:28]
judged you yet for it.
[23:30]
Let me give you a great word of warning
[23:32]
from my own experience. Don't confuse
[23:35]
God's patience with God's tolerance for
[23:38]
sin.
[23:40]
If God hasn't judged you yet for the sin
[23:44]
in your life,
[23:45]
it's only for one reason.
[23:48]
It's because of his patience, his love
[23:50]
for you.
[23:52]
God is not slow about his promise, the
[23:54]
Bible says. He's not willing that any
[23:56]
should come
[23:58]
he into judgment, but all should receive
[24:01]
a knowledge of the truth. Don't confuse
[24:04]
God's patience with God's tolerance for
[24:06]
your sin.
[24:07]
God's giving you time to repent.
[24:11]
But never forget
[24:13]
that God's judgment will eventually
[24:16]
come.
[24:17]
It will come suddenly,
[24:20]
and it will come completely.
[24:23]
That's the message that comes from the
[24:25]
story of Babylon.
[24:33]
In the same way God dismantled the Tower
[24:35]
of Babel, he will one day dismantle the
[24:38]
future city of Babylon. But God isn't
[24:41]
finished, and neither are we. This year
[24:44]
Pathway to Victory is celebrating 30
[24:46]
years of ministry, and by God's grace,
[24:49]
we're reaching [music] more people in
[24:50]
more places than ever before. The
[24:53]
message hasn't changed since 1996,
[24:55]
[music]
[24:56]
but the doors God keeps opening are
[24:58]
greater every year. Your generosity is
[25:01]
[music] what fuels this season of
[25:03]
growth, sending the truth of God's word
[25:05]
to people who are searching for real,
[25:07]
[music]
[25:08]
trustworthy answers.
[25:10]
Thank you for your faithful support of
[25:12]
Pathway to Victory. Now, stay right
[25:14]
there. I'll be back with more in just a
[25:17]
moment.
[25:18]
>> Our world is growing darker by the day,
[25:21]
but the book of Revelation teaches that
[25:22]
one day soon the darkness will pass, and
[25:25]
our long-awaited King of Kings and Lord
[25:28]
of Lords will return and make his final
[25:30]
conquest.
[25:31]
>> The book of Revelation isn't just the
[25:33]
unveiling of future events, [music]
[25:36]
it's the unveiling of a person, Jesus
[25:39]
Christ. And in Final Conquest, my
[25:41]
[music] exclusive commentary on
[25:43]
Revelation, you'll discover the great
[25:46]
hope we have in the triumphant return of
[25:49]
our Lord Jesus Christ.
[25:51]
>> Request your copy of Final Conquest when
[25:54]
you give a generous gift to support the
[25:55]
ministry of Pathway to Victory,

And when your ministry gift is $125 or
[26:03]
more, we'll also send you Dr. Jeffress's

[26:13]
of Christ, along with the complete Final
[26:15]
Conquest teaching series on DVD video
[26:18]

[26:20]
>> And these line up exactly with [music]
[26:22]
the seven seal judgments we see in
[26:25]
Revelation chapter six.
[26:28]
>> In light of current events and with the
[26:30]
return of Christ so clearly on the
[26:32]
horizon, sharing the gospel through
[26:34]
Pathway to Victory has never been more
[26:36]
important or more urgent. So, [music]
[26:38]
thank you for supporting Pathway to
[26:40]
Victory as together we pierce the
[26:42]
darkness of our day with the light of
[26:44]
God's word.
[26:48]
>> God's judgment is coming. [music]
[26:50]
There's no doubt about that. Those who
[26:52]
are not snatched up in the rapture will
[26:54]
endure seven long years of God's wrath
[26:57]
poured [music] out upon the earth. And
[26:59]
next time we'll turn to the most
[27:01]
important event in all of human history.
[27:04]
The event every [music] one of these
[27:05]
judgements is simply a prelude to the
[27:08]
triumphant return of Jesus Christ. Stay
[27:12]
tuned for a preview [music] of what's
[27:13]
coming up next in our series, Final
[27:16]
Conquest.
[27:18]
>> The fact is you don't hear much about
[27:21]
the return of Jesus Christ. It's a
[27:23]
subject not even addressed in many
[27:25]
pulpits across America today.
[27:28]
But even though it may not [music] be
[27:30]
talked about a lot,
[27:32]
the fact is certain.
[27:34]
Jesus Christ is returning to earth one
[27:37]
day to reward the righteous and to
[27:40]
punish the unrighteous.
