Transcript [00:00] Have we made God to sin? We love talking [00:03] about God's love and his grace and his [00:06] mercy. But there's one part of his [00:08] perfect character that [music] many [00:10] Christians rarely think about. He's [00:13] holiness. During Sukkot, we remember [00:16] Israel's journey through the wilderness. [00:17] [music] [00:18] But here's something that should stop us [00:21] in our tracks. The generation that [00:24] witnessed the Red Sea split never [00:27] entered the promised land. [00:29] Not because God wasn't loving, because [00:31] they refused [music] to trust the holy [00:34] God who had rescued them. Throughout [00:37] scripture, people didn't casually walk [00:40] into God's presence. Moses could only [00:43] glimpse his glory. [music] The high [00:44] priest entered the Holy of Holies with [00:47] fear and reverence. God [music] isn't [00:49] just loving, he's utterly holy. [00:53] And here is why that [music] matters. [00:56] The more we understand God's holiness, [00:58] the more breathtaking [music] Yeshua [01:01] becomes. Because Jesus didn't lower [01:03] God's standard, he made a way for sinful [01:06] [music] [01:06] people to draw near to a holy God. So [01:09] today, don't just thank God for his love [01:12] and mercy and grace. Stand [music] in [01:15] awe of his holiness. Because when you [01:17] realize who he truly is, you'll never [01:20] look at his [music] grace the same way. [01:23] Hey, I know you enjoyed this kind of [01:25] content. So follow us and like us and [01:26] share with your friends. This is a [01:28] series about Sukkot or the Feast of [01:30] Tabernacles and I know it will be a [01:31] blessing for many.
We love talking about God's love, His grace, His mercy.
But there's one part of His character we rarely stop to consider: His holiness.
This is Day 4 of our 7-part journey through the Feast of Tabernacles.
