[14:21] Glad you're here. [14:24] So, [14:31] wow. We're gonna [14:33] rejoice that [14:36] God gave his word. That's right. [14:38] >> Today, [14:40] you've been doing that every day, [14:41] haven't you? [14:45] >> Anyway, we'll do it upright today. [14:50] Anyway, we'll continue on here. [15:02] Blessed, praise, glorified, and exalted [15:05] is the name of the king who rules over [15:07] kings, the holy one who has given the [15:10] way of salvation in Messiah Yeshua. [15:13] Blessed is he who for he is the first [15:17] and he is the last. And aside from him, [15:21] there is no God. [15:28] >> Please stand if you're able for the [15:30] >> Shma [15:38] Adonai. [15:44] Adon [16:15] Where are you? [16:27] Fore! [16:36] Foreign! Foreign! [16:46] Fore! Foreign! Foreign! [16:56] Fore! [17:05] Foreign! Foreign! [17:21] I'll share [17:37] and Yeshua said, [17:41] "Love your neighbors. [17:54] Make modern [18:07] he [18:09] oh say [18:11] failing [18:13] Open my mouth, O Lord, and my lips will [18:16] proclaim your praise. [18:18] >> Blessed are you, oh Lord, our God, and [18:20] God of our ancestors, God of Abraham, [18:24] Isaac, and Jacob, our God who remembered [18:27] Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah. Great, [18:31] mighty, awesome, exalted God. [18:37] We remember your love for our ancestors [18:42] to children's children [18:46] and loving nature. [18:48] >> You are the king who helps and saves and [18:51] shields. Blessed are you, oh Lord, [18:54] shield of Abraham. [18:56] >> Your might, O Lord, is boundless. You [18:58] give life to the dead. Great is your [19:01] saving power. You sustain the living [19:04] with loving kindness. In your great [19:06] mercy, you give life to the dead. You [19:09] support the fallen, heal the alien, free [19:12] the fettered, whose power can compare [19:15] with yours. You are the master of life [19:17] and death who brings forth salvation. [19:20] Faithful are you in giving life to the [19:22] dead. Blessed are you, oh Lord, who [19:25] gives life to the dead. [19:41] Shakimatu. [20:12] Hallelujah. [20:13] You are holy and your name is holy and [20:16] the holy ones daily give you praise. [20:19] Blessed are you Lord holy God. Being [20:23] found in appearance as a man, he humbled [20:26] himself by becoming obedient to the [20:28] point of death, even death on a cross. [20:31] For this reason also God highly exalted [20:34] him and bestowed on him the name which [20:37] is above every knee. So that of the name [20:40] of Yeshua every knee will bow of those [20:43] who are in heaven and on earth and under [20:46] the earth and that every tongue will [20:48] confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord [20:51] to the glory of God the Father. Moses [20:54] rejoiced like we're rejoicing in the [20:57] gift bestowed on him and then bestowed [21:00] on us right [21:01] >> when you called him faithful servant [21:03] placing on his head a crown of glory as [21:06] he stood before you on Mount Si in his [21:09] arms he carried the two tablets of stone [21:12] on which the commandment of Shabbat was [21:14] inscribed. Thus, it is also written in [21:17] your Torah. And we turn to page 34 at [21:20] the back of the sedor. [21:34] The door [21:54] is [21:58] he [22:11] The door of tambber [22:25] the sham [22:27] is [22:30] hasha. [22:35] Shabor [22:43] Shabbat [22:50] shel [22:59] and hash. [23:04] And we return to the bottom of page 14. [23:09] Our God and God of our fathers, may you [23:12] be pleased with our rest. Sanctify us [23:15] through your commandments and grant us [23:17] our portion in your Torah. Satisfy us [23:20] with your goodness and make us rejoice [23:23] in your salvation. [23:26] our hearts to serve you in truth and [23:29] favor our God. Let us inherit your holy [23:33] shel. [23:39] Blessed are you Lord Shabbat. [23:44] >> Accept O Lord the prayer of your people [23:46] as it is offered. May the worship of [23:48] those who call upon your name always be [23:51] acceptable to you. May our eyes witness [23:54] the return of our Messiah to Zion. [23:57] Blessed are you, O Lord, who restores [24:00] his presence to Zion. [24:02] >> We gratefully acknowledge that you are [24:04] the Lord our God and God of our [24:07] ancestors forever and ever. You are the [24:10] source of our strength even as you have [24:13] been Israel's protecting shield in every [24:15] generation. We thank you for claiming [24:18] your praise for our lives which are in [24:21] your hands, for our souls which are in [24:23] your care, for your miracles which are [24:26] us and for your wondous kindness of all [24:29] times morning, noon and night. [24:33] >> You are gooding mercy. You are [24:38] loving [24:41] our new [24:44] thanks to you. Praise your name for you [24:48] are our salvation and our help. [24:51] >> Blessed are you Lord for your name is [24:56] praise. [24:58] >> Grant true and bla lasting peace to your [25:01] people Israel and to all who dwell on [25:03] earth. Bless us our father all of us as [25:06] one with the light of your presence. For [25:09] in the light of your presence, you gave [25:10] us, Lord our God, the Torah of life, [25:14] love of grace, righteousness, blessing, [25:16] mercy, life, and peace. May it please [25:19] you to bless your people, Israel, in [25:21] every season and at all times with your [25:24] gift of peace. [25:25] >> Blessed are you, oh Lord, who blesses [25:28] his people with peace. [25:29] >> Magnified and sanctified be his great [25:32] name in the world which he has created [25:35] according to his will. May he establish [25:37] his kingdom during your life and during [25:40] your days and during the life of the [25:42] whole house of Israel even swiftly and [25:44] soon and say [25:46] >> amen. Let his great name be blessed [25:48] forever and to all eternity. [25:51] >> Blessed, praised and glorified, exalted, [25:54] extolled, honored, magnified, and lauded [25:56] be the name of the Holy One. Blessed be [25:59] he. Though he be high above all the [26:01] blessings and songs, praises and [26:03] consolations which are uttered in the [26:05] world, and say, [26:06] >> "Amen." [26:08] >> May he who makes peace in high places [26:12] and all. [26:15] Amen. [26:16] >> Amen. [26:18] >> Well, it's good to be together. We have [26:22] um quite a few people who are out today [26:26] due to illness and other things. We'll [26:28] see if the rest are coming later. Um, so [26:32] we are hopeful because it's a day of [26:34] rejoicing. [26:35] >> Um, lots of colds going around. Rowan, [26:38] if you could pop the door. We haven't [26:39] been doing that, but today would be a [26:41] good day. Thank you. Um, so we are [26:45] celebrating what today [26:50] >> which is what? [26:53] >> The eighth day, right? We're commanded. [26:55] We're going to hear that scripture to [26:57] celebrate. Seven days of sukkot wasn't [27:00] enough. So God says, "Let's have an [27:01] eighth day to celebrate." And we're also [27:05] celebrating what? [27:08] >> Simkat Torah. We're rejoicing in the [27:10] Torah because kids [27:14] >> girls, [27:15] >> what happens when we get to the end of [27:17] the Torah? [27:19] >> We bring it back to the library and take [27:21] out a new book. [27:23] >> What do we do? [27:27] start all over again. [27:29] >> We start all over again. [27:31] >> And because it's really one continuous [27:36] story of God's creation and his love and [27:41] it's still ongoing, right? We all [27:44] scripture is God breathed and approved [27:46] for proved and good for our edification, [27:49] right? So, we end it and begin it on the [27:54] same day. [27:57] Okay. So, lots of distractions. We have [28:00] lots of extra things going on. So, if I [28:02] lose my place, [28:04] let's just go with the flow. Let's have [28:06] fun today, right? [28:08] >> Amen. [28:09] >> Okay, here's what's coming up. Monday [28:11] morning, provided I am still fully [28:13] conscious and haven't collapsed at the [28:15] end of all of this, right? There will be [28:17] an online morning prayer meeting at 9:15 [28:21] Monday morning. Pajamas are optional. [28:25] Okay. Um there are no men's or women's [28:28] meetings this month due to the separate [28:31] activities next week. And I know women [28:33] we have not met since July. [28:36] >> What? [28:36] >> Yeah. We didn't do August or September [28:40] now or October. So, uh, we will be [28:43] picking up again in November, and I'll [28:46] send out an email to remind people what [28:48] we're up to. On Wednesday, we are [28:51] beginning again the first Wednesday of [28:53] each month, serving dinner at Crossroads [28:56] Christian Fellowship from 5 to 7:00 p.m. [28:59] You're welcome to come um help serve, [29:01] help clean up, um, meet the people, pray [29:04] for the people, get to know them. [29:07] What's happening on Friday at 5:00 pm? [29:12] The men are going [29:13] >> the men will be gathered at Pikamoose [29:16] for camping. [29:18] >> And they're going to stay there until [29:19] when? [29:21] >> Sunday. [29:22] >> Sunday at 400 p.m. [29:25] >> Okay. So, I have it on good authority [29:27] that Rob Peter is going to be up there [29:30] on Thursday to uh make sure that you [29:33] guys get the campsite that you want [29:36] because it's a holiday weekend and we [29:38] have a lot of people who come up from [29:40] the city. So, he's going to go up a day [29:42] early to scope that out. So, um if [29:45] anybody wants to do that, please talk to [29:48] him. If you have not responded to the [29:50] email saying you're going and saying [29:53] whether you're going for the whole trip [29:55] or just coming for the day, please [29:58] respond and please make it clear when [30:00] you're going to be there. Thank you to [30:02] all of the people who've done that so [30:04] far. But don't assume that because [30:06] you've talked to Craig about the food, [30:07] which you also need to do, or because [30:09] you've talked to my husband in person, [30:12] that we have a count. Okay? So, please [30:15] actually respond in writing. Also, [30:17] include any information if you have [30:19] allergies or medical conditions we [30:21] should know about. Um, what's going to [30:24] happen a week from today? [30:28] >> The women's gathering. Women are [30:30] gathering. [30:30] >> Where's the women's gathering going to [30:31] be? [30:33] >> At our house. So if you come to the [30:35] building, you're going to be crashing a [30:37] conference that Fountain of Life Church [30:38] is holding. So either be at Peekamus on [30:42] Shabbat if you're a man or if you're a [30:43] woman and child. We're having our [30:45] Lorvador gathering at my place and each [30:50] person ages two and up are going to come [30:54] with some kind of a teaching. [30:57] >> Okay? So under 10 minutes you're going [31:00] to teach something whether it's silly or [31:03] whether it's something big and important [31:05] in your estimation and uh we're just [31:08] going to share each from each other from [31:09] generation to generation. It can be a [31:12] favorite recipe. It can be a song. It [31:14] can be a dance or a dance step. Um it [31:17] can be the ABCs. Twinkle on violin. [31:21] Whatever you want to teach us how to do. [31:23] It's not showand tell. Okay. And it's [31:26] not a talent show. You have to actually [31:28] teach us. This is how you do it. Okay. [31:31] So, you have a few days to think about [31:32] it. [31:34] Okay. Um, please bring a kosher or [31:36] kosher style dish to share ready to eat, [31:40] preferably with serving utensils. If you [31:42] can remember that, that speeds things up [31:44] a lot and helps. [31:47] Okay. Um, that's a lot going on this [31:49] week. And then we rest, [31:53] right? Then we rest. [31:55] Okay. Uh, please continue to give to [31:58] Israel and the Mishaber. People were [32:01] praying for all of the war wounded. Um, [32:05] pray for Dean. Um, not so much for [32:08] healing, but he did cut his um, finger, [32:10] needed five stitches. Uh but pray for [32:13] his mother who's still in the hospital [32:15] and they are trying to get her out and [32:17] in a proper placement to take care of [32:20] her and for his father as he's [32:22] recovering from the knee replacement and [32:24] and just pray for Dean. It's a lot. Pray [32:27] for his uh his overall well-being. Um [32:31] pray for Rona as she continues to heal [32:33] with back things. My husband, my [32:35] daughter, me especially. pray for my uh [32:39] replaced knee, which is doing some [32:41] things that it um isn't expected to do. [32:44] So, I'm having to have that checked out. [32:46] Um, for Amy, Arena, Cheryl, Brett, [32:50] Betty, Phil, Craig's grandmother, Jenny, [32:53] Joanne's cousin Susan, Bill's brothers, [32:55] Robert and Frederick, and his sisters [32:59] Janet, Ron, Dean's mom and dad we [33:01] mentioned, and his mother-in-law [33:04] Francis, Marty, Craig's uncle, Louie, [33:07] Keith, Morty, Hibba, Selma, Joanne, [33:10] Florence, uh, Selma, Joanne, and [33:12] Florence for their vision, Jan, Martha, [33:15] Sana, Dena's mother, the Crossroads [33:17] Christian Fellowship people, and then we [33:20] have people battling cancer, Frank, [33:23] Donna, Craig's aunt, Kelly's cousins, [33:26] Geraldine and Ellie, Bob, Rowan's father [33:29] and uncle, Ramon, David, David A. [33:49] >> Cindy. [33:50] >> Cindy. [33:51] >> Okay. Um, please send me the new names [33:53] so that I can get them on the um on the [33:57] announcements and I don't forget them. [33:58] >> Uh, for my mom uh for her neck, she [34:01] needs to get some X-rays. Just be in [34:03] pain for for [34:04] >> Okay. For mom's neck. [34:07] >> For my dad, he's going to have eye [34:08] surgery on November 5th. [34:10] >> Okay. Um, great. [34:13] >> Cataract. [34:14] >> Cataracts. Yeah. [34:19] >> Oh, right. Thank you. Please write that [34:22] for me. Thank you. [34:24] >> Well, Aba, we thank you that you who [34:26] blessed Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and [34:29] remembered Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and [34:31] Leia. It's your desire, Lord, to bring [34:34] blessing and healing. We ask that you [34:38] would overflow with compassion to [34:40] restore, heal, strengthen, and enliven. [34:44] Oh Lord, may you send speedily a [34:46] complete healing of the soul and healing [34:50] of the body along with all the ill among [34:53] the people of Israel and all humankind. [34:55] Soon speedily without delay mu. [35:01] >> It's also the first Shabbat of the [35:03] month. So we are taking the monthly [35:07] support offering um or you can do it [35:09] online through tithely um we're [35:12] supporting Stuart Shantel Winrad, Dan [35:15] and Patty Jester, Eton and Connie [35:17] Shishkov and uh Jackie Santoro and you [35:21] know none of these people are young. [35:23] These are people in their late 60s and [35:26] 70s and even late 70s and they are [35:29] serving the Lord. you know, there's no [35:32] retirement for them. They're going to [35:35] serve the Lord through all their days. [35:37] >> So Lord, we just ask you to bless them, [35:41] to increase their strength and their [35:43] vitality, [35:44] to give them focus and and their purpose [35:48] and uh to just bless finances to move [35:52] their direction. And we thank you for [35:53] this in Yeshua's name. Imru. [35:56] >> Amen. So before John comes up, I'm going [35:59] to just give you a little glimpse of [36:01] what we're doing today so you're not [36:02] confused. Okay? Um John's going to come [36:06] up and he'll pray for our governments [36:10] and then when we move to the Torah [36:12] service is when things are going to get [36:14] shaken up a little bit because we're [36:17] celebrating the Torah, the rejoicing in [36:19] it, right? [36:21] Once we have the regular processional, [36:24] did you kids bring your Torah scrolls? [36:26] We've got one. [36:27] >> Got one. Okay. We have we have two small [36:31] Toras that can be carried. Um but one of [36:34] them um needs to make it back up here. [36:37] So we are going to process the Tora and [36:41] then we are going to close the ark and [36:44] then we're going to come up here in this [36:46] nice area and whoever has a Tora scroll [36:49] is going to stand in the middle and the [36:52] rest of the people are going to dance [36:54] around them. Okay, we're going to [36:56] rejoice in that Torah that's in the [36:58] middle and we'll have seven hakafot [37:01] and then you can all be seated and we're [37:04] going to unwrap the scrolls and move on [37:08] with our normal thing. But we're going [37:10] to have the shimani at Serret reading [37:14] just in English from here. And then [37:16] we're going to finish Deuteronomy from [37:18] one scroll in Hebrew and English and [37:21] begin Beresit Genesis with the other [37:24] scroll in Hebrew and English. And then [37:28] we'll have a little bit of worship time. [37:30] So we're going to have lots of extra [37:31] music and lots of extra time for people [37:35] to dance today. And then after [37:38] everything is all said and done, what's [37:40] gonna happen? [37:42] We eat. [37:44] >> We eat, right? Okay, John, come on up. [37:48] Before [37:57] we pray for the great state of Israel [38:00] and the United States, I'd like to read [38:01] from John [38:04] chapter 7, [38:06] starting in verse 37. [38:10] Now on the last day of the festival, [38:12] hosana rabbah Yeshua stood up and cried [38:17] out, [38:18] "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to [38:22] me and drink. Whosoever puts his trust [38:26] in me, as the scripture says, rivers of [38:30] living water will flow from his [38:32] innermost being." [38:34] Now he said this about the spirit whom [38:37] those who trusted in him were to receive [38:40] later. [38:42] The spirit has not yet been given [38:45] because Yeshua had not yet been [38:47] glorified. Father, we thank you for [38:50] Israel. We thank you for the land that's [38:52] there and the people and the we pray for [38:55] the upcoming elections [38:58] and we pray for the the military Lord, [39:00] the IDF and the commanders and the [39:03] generals, Lord, and the rabbis and the [39:05] Messianic community there and the [39:08] Christian influence there, Lord. We just [39:10] pray you bless them, keep them safe, [39:12] Lord, prosper them. And we pray for [39:14] United States elections, upcoming [39:16] elections, Lord. We pray for our local [39:18] elections. Pray for the governor, Lord. [39:21] We pray that people get out there and [39:23] vote for who they believe is the right [39:26] person to represent them. And we ask it [39:28] in Yeshua's name. Amen. [39:40] Got that one. [39:42] >> Oh, yeah. [39:46] >> Okay. [39:48] >> This is where things get complicated. [39:52] >> Go ahead. [40:20] The blessing [40:23] before the Torah reading [40:26] is on page 19. [40:36] All right. [41:01] Blessed is the Lord who is to be blessed [41:03] forever and ever. Blessed are you, oh [41:06] Lord, our King, King of the universe, [41:08] who has chosen us from all the peoples [41:10] and has and given us his Torah. Blessed [41:14] are you, O Lord, giver of the Torah. [41:17] >> Amen. [41:19] >> The Torah reading is Oh, [41:21] >> sorry. [41:24] >> I got lost when you did the English. You [41:26] You threw me off. [41:28] >> I just want to make sure I was doing it [41:29] right. [41:29] >> It doesn't take anything to throw me off [41:32] today. [41:33] >> Okay. Numbers 29 uh 35 through chapter [41:38] 30 verse 1. [41:45] On the eighth day there shall be for you [41:48] an assembly. You are to do no regular [41:51] work. You are to offer to Adoni a burnt [41:54] offering, a fire offering, a pleasing [41:57] aroma, one bowl, one ram, and seven male [42:00] lambs a year old without defect. and [42:04] their grain and drink offerings with the [42:06] bull, ram, and lamb corresponding to [42:09] their number according to their [42:10] regulations, [42:12] and a goat for a sin offering besides [42:15] the regular burnt offering with its [42:17] grain and drink offerings. You are to [42:20] prepare these for Adonai at your moadim [42:24] in addition to your bow and free will [42:28] offerings [42:29] along with your burnt offerings, grain [42:32] offerings, drink offering, and [42:34] fellowship offerings. So Moses told Ben [42:37] Israel all that Adonai commanded Moses. [42:42] Moses spoke to the uh to the princes of [42:45] tribes of B Israel saying this is what [42:48] Adoniah has commanded. [42:51] >> Should I stop there? [42:55] >> Is that verse one? [42:57] >> 30 verse one. [42:58] >> Yep. [43:00] >> Okay. [43:01] >> The numeration is different in Hebrew. [43:05] >> Okay. So blessing after the Torah is on [43:09] page 21. [43:30] Thank you. [43:42] >> Whoever's reading next for the ha, it'll [43:44] be on the shelf after we're done with [43:46] the Torah stuff. [43:54] So, we're on page 18. [44:10] >> You might as well bring all the girls [44:12] with you because we're going to have [44:13] them come up to take their coral [44:15] scrolls. [44:17] >> And actually, if we get all children [44:19] with their tortoise rolls to walk up [44:22] here [44:24] for the opening. [44:38] I love that wobbly. [44:41] That is great. That's precious. [45:10] Everybody, [45:12] this one goes to you. [45:19] >> This is for you. [45:22] Why don't you go ahead and [45:28] >> Is there an extra one for Anna? [45:30] What? [45:34] >> Yeah, she can. Come on up here. I didn't [45:36] see you. Come on up. You can take the [45:38] one that has [45:45] >> Well, we're going to just do the [45:46] procession first. [45:49] when it comes to dancing. [45:52] >> Okay, we're just going to do the [45:53] procession. [45:56] Carry them over your heart. [46:20] This is what Moses would say when the [46:24] ark would travel. Arise, O Lord, and let [46:27] your enemies be scattered, and let them [46:30] that hate you flee from you. For from [46:33] Zion will go forth the Torah. And the [46:35] word of the Lord from Jerusalem, it [46:37] reached all the way to Kingston and Lake [46:39] Katrine. Right? Blessed be he who gave [46:42] the Torah to his people Israel and his [46:44] holiness. Are you ready to march with us [46:46] with it? [47:02] to [47:09] be [47:14] turra [47:27] to [47:29] sh tora. [47:32] The [47:34] blue shadow [47:57] is beneath [48:00] shadow. [48:01] So, we need someone to close the ark so [48:04] that you can all begin to sing and dance [48:07] and all of that fun stuff. Who's going [48:09] to close the ark? [48:14] >> That sounds good. [48:23] >> Okay. So, we need someone to hold the [48:26] big scroll and someone to hold the two [48:29] other scrolls. in the center over there. [48:32] Will other people dance around them? [48:47] And everybody's going to need a sheet [48:49] with the hakafot on them [48:51] >> which is in the place of the [48:53] >> Yeah, it's right there with the cider in [48:55] that container. [49:05] Your part's the card involved, right? [49:15] >> Should take take them off, right? [49:23] Sorry, I lost track of [49:39] >> Okay, it's just a the monitors are kind [49:41] of fried. [49:54] It was shown to you that you might know [49:56] that the Lord, he is God. There is none [49:59] else. [50:06] Goather up there. Grab your Toras. [50:09] >> Tora's in the middle over there. [50:13] >> Adonai. [50:24] new [50:28] I knew [50:34] eluas [50:52] in the middle [50:56] lie. [50:58] new. [51:02] And we have our first song. [51:06] Come house Jacob, let us walk in the [51:09] light. Walk in the light. Walk in the [51:13] light. Come house Jacob, let us walk in [51:16] the light. Walk in the light of the [51:19] Lord. And this one is for the Torah that [51:22] Adonai has given us. The light to our [51:25] feet. Come h Jacob, let us walk in the [51:29] light. Walk in the light. Walk in the [51:33] light. Come h Jacob, let us walk in the [51:37] light. Walk in the light of the Lord. [51:41] The hotty man is humbled. The lofty one [51:44] brought low. For the Lord alone will be [51:46] exalted in the day when every knee shall [51:50] bow and every tongue confess that Yeshua [51:53] is the Lord of the glory of God. [51:59] Come, passive Jacob, let us walk in the [52:02] light. Walk in the light. Walk in the [52:05] light. Come, passive Jacob, let us walk [52:08] in the light. Walk in the light of the [52:12] Lord. And now we switch. Who's carrying [52:16] the Toras in the middle for the second [52:19] hakafa, which is for passion in [52:22] following the Lord. [52:26] We want passion for f walking in the [52:29] Lord. [52:50] and they knew [52:53] la. [53:07] I will dance. I will sing to be mad for [53:10] my king. Nothing Lord's hindering the [53:13] passion in my soul. I will dance. I will [53:16] sing to be mad for my king. Nothing, [53:19] Lord, hindering the passion in my soul. [53:22] And I'll become even more undignified [53:26] than this. [53:28] Well, some would say it's foolishness, [53:30] but I'll become even more undignified [53:33] than this. [53:36] Leave my pride by the side and I'll [53:38] become even more undignified than this. [53:45] I will dance. I will sing to be mad for [53:48] my king. Nothing, Lord hindering the [53:50] passion in my soul. I will dance. I will [53:54] sing to be mad for my king. Nothing, [53:56] Lord hindering the passion in my soul. [54:00] And I'll become even more undignified [54:03] than this. [54:05] Well, someone would say it's [54:06] foolishness, but I'll be go ahead and [54:09] danceified [54:11] than this. [54:13] Leave my pride by the side and I'll [54:16] become even more indignified than this. [54:22] So, I will dance, I will sing to be mad [54:25] for my king. Nothing, Lord, hindering [54:28] the passion in my soul. Oh, I will [54:30] dance. I will sing to be mad for my [54:33] king. Nothing, Lord, hindering the [54:35] passion in my soul. And I'll become even [54:40] more indignified than this. [54:42] Well, some would say it's foolishness, [54:44] but I'll become even more indictified [54:48] than this. Yes, we rejoice right by the [54:52] side. and I'll become even more good [54:56] than this. Hallelujah. [55:01] >> Hey, lyrics man, feel free to leave the [55:03] lyrics and dance. [66:24] And the final haka [66:28] >> number seven [66:31] >> is for the wedding feast of the lamb. [66:37] Looking forward to the wedding feast of [66:39] the lamb Yeshua. [66:57] They knew [67:01] and they knew they knew [67:06] to make [67:24] They knew they knew. [67:47] Oh sh [67:55] Oh sh [68:08] Allah. [68:17] Oh sh [68:24] Oh sh [68:37] Allah. [68:46] Oh sh [68:53] Oh sh [68:57] Oh [68:59] sh [69:04] Hatan [69:11] simon [69:28] the [69:34] Hallelujah. [69:46] >> Okay. So, [69:48] we need all of the scrolls up front. [69:55] >> Give me a second to join you there, [69:57] please. [69:58] Didn't [70:14] the children do a great job? [70:25] >> And you can be seated. [70:30] Yeah, this one. We're gonna do [70:35] this one right here. That one. [70:38] >> This one we're going to park right here [70:40] for now. [70:43] But this one we need [70:56] >> do whatever you want. [70:58] You can enjoy it to your heart's [70:59] content. You can do whatever you want. [71:03] >> Okay. [71:08] >> And we need our eyes here. [71:17] >> Here I am. I'm over here. [71:23] >> I'll be your mama. [71:37] Okay. So, we are going to start we're [71:40] going to start in the little scroll and [71:43] then we're going to move over to the big [71:44] scroll because we and just about every [71:47] other rabbi we talked to in the last [71:49] week has said, "Oh, it's just too much [71:51] to wrap it out around the whole room and [71:53] do that stuff with it." We all we all [71:56] reached that same point I think. So we [71:59] are going to start out in Deuteronomy [72:04] >> 34 1-12 and we're going to start with [72:07] the first [72:10] nine verses in English only. [72:14] But first [72:19] I'm doing the wrong blessing. [72:36] I'm on the wrong page. [72:56] who knows what melody I'm gonna come up [72:58] with for anything from here forward. [73:01] >> Is it six verses or [73:03] >> um Sorry, he's going to do six. Yeah. [73:05] And I'm going to pick up on seven. [73:08] >> Then Moses went up from the plains of [73:10] Moab to Mount Nebo to the top of Pishka, [73:15] which is opposite Jericho. Adonai showed [73:18] him all the land. Gilead to Dan, and all [73:23] of Naphali, the land of Ephraim and [73:26] Manasseh, all the land of Judah, as far [73:28] as the western sea, the Negv, the plain [73:32] of the valley of Jericho, the city of [73:35] palm trees as far as Zor. [73:38] Then Adonai said to him, "This is the [73:40] land that I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and [73:43] Jacob, saying, I will give it to your [73:45] seed. I let you see it with your eyes, [73:48] but you will not cross over there. So [73:51] Moses, a servant of Adonai, died there [73:53] in the land of Moab, [73:56] as was from the mouth of the of Adonai. [74:00] Then he buried him in the valley in the [74:03] land of Moab opposite Bethor. But no one [74:06] knows of his burial place to this day. [74:20] Moses was 120 years old when he died. [74:23] His eye was not dim, nor his vigor gone. [74:42] Israel wept for Moses in the plains of [74:44] Moab 30 days. Then the days of weeping, [74:49] mourning for Moses were ended. [75:12] Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the [75:16] spirit of wisdom. For Moses had laid his [75:19] hands on him. So Ben Israel listened to [75:21] him and did just as Adonai had commanded [75:24] Moses. [75:30] Oh, [75:32] is [75:34] a [75:37] pan. [76:15] There is not risen again a prophet in [76:17] Israel like Moses whom Adonai knew. face [76:19] to face with all the signs and wonders [76:23] Adonai sent him to do in the land of [76:25] Egypt to Pharaoh all his servants and [76:28] all his land by the strong hand and [76:32] great awe by great awe that Moses did in [76:36] the sight of all Israel. [76:39] And we stand and say at the end of this [76:42] book, [76:46] be strong, be strong, and let us be [76:49] strengthened. [76:50] >> Okay, kids out there especially, take a [76:53] good look at which side of this Torah [76:56] scroll has more on it. Which side's [76:59] fatter? [77:00] >> You see it? [77:02] >> Okay, keep your eyes on that. That's [77:04] going to be important later. Okay, it's [77:08] going to be important. Right now, we're [77:09] not going to do extra set of blessings. [77:11] We all know them. We'll just do the [77:13] blessing afterwards when we finish. [77:16] So, now we're going to move to take a [77:20] look at this. I'm not going to lift it [77:21] up, but which side is bigger now? [77:25] >> Can you see the other side? [77:28] >> Can you see that? Yeah. because we are [77:31] going to start at the beginning which is [77:34] Barishet [77:37] and we are going to do Barishet Genesis. [77:40] Oh, we need to finish rolling. Yeah. [77:46] Yeah. Pick up the the piece there. We [77:49] got to roll all the way. Come on up and [77:50] look while we're rolling to the very [77:52] beginning. If you want to come and see [77:54] the scroll. [78:01] Let me take this out of the way. [78:06] >> So, we look, but we don't touch there, [78:08] right? We're going all the way back to [78:11] the beginning. We were in Genesis, but [78:14] now here sheet, we're going back even [78:18] farther. Let's start at the very [78:21] beginning. It's a very good place to [78:23] start. When you read, you begin with [78:26] ABC. When you chant, you begin with [78:33] >> I was not expecting. [78:35] >> I wasn't either. [78:39] >> Okay, there's more here for you to [78:40] watch. Crowns on these letters because [78:43] they're special letters. And this [78:46] particular style of writing is different [78:48] from Taurus girls from other places. Did [78:51] you know that? [78:53] >> Yeah. You can tell where it's from by [78:55] how it's written. [78:56] Somebody has done that by hand. [78:59] >> Can you imagine writing this whole thing [79:01] by hand and having to wash your clothes [79:04] over and over while you're doing it? [79:06] >> Yeah, it's a lot. That's why they're [79:09] expensive. Okay, you can go ahead and [79:12] sit down [79:14] and we will do the other readings. [79:16] Genesis 1 1 [79:18] >> through five. [79:23] >> She's right here. [79:38] In the beginning, God created the [79:40] heavens and the earth. [80:06] Now the earth was chaos and waste. [80:08] Darkness was on the surface of the deep [80:12] and the ruach Elohim was hovering upon [80:15] the surface of the waters. [80:24] Okay. [80:29] >> Elohim. [80:37] >> Then God said, "Let there be light." [80:41] And there was light. [80:58] God saw that the light was good. So God [81:01] distinguished the light from the [81:03] darkness. [81:08] Elohim [81:24] God called the light day and the [81:26] darkness he called night. So there was [81:29] evening and there was morning, one day. [81:35] >> Okay, [81:39] how about that? We made it all the way [81:40] through the first day of creation, [81:43] right? [81:45] And where was Moses then? [81:48] >> Where was God's eye? [81:54] >> Okay. The blessing after the Torah [81:56] reading is on page 21. [82:16] Okay, now comes the hard part. Lifting [82:18] it when [82:20] there's only weight on one side. [82:33] And we stand as the Torah is lifted and [82:36] we proclaim. [82:46] We'll try to do this. [83:07] And this is the Torah that Moses placed [83:10] before the children of Israel at the [83:12] command of the Lord through Moses's [83:14] hand. And you may be seated and rejoice [83:18] in the Lord because he is good. [83:23] So do you think do you think this is is [83:25] the Torah that Moses the one he had? [83:35] >> No, you have to hold both of them at the [83:37] same time. [83:40] Sorry to To to [83:47] mo to [84:02] lu [84:04] to [84:09] lan [84:11] to [84:13] to [84:38] to [84:42] to [84:47] la [84:49] to [84:55] new [84:58] glorif [85:22] to [85:26] the new. [85:30] >> Okay, now we have our Torists dressed. [85:36] >> Yanni, you dropped one. Thank you [85:38] everyone [85:41] to the whole team and to the dancers. [85:43] That might be the best dancing I have [85:46] ever seen here for Satra. [85:49] It was wonderful. [86:00] >> Okay. The blessing before the reading. [86:05] foreign [86:34] the deck. Amen. [86:59] The haftter reading today is from [87:02] Joshua. [87:04] Joshua chapter 1 1-8. [87:10] >> Now it came about after the death of [87:12] Moses, the servant of Adonai, that [87:15] Adonai spoke to Joshua son of Nun, [87:18] Moses's aid, saying, "My servant Moses [87:21] is dead. So now arise you and all these [87:24] people cross over this Jordan to the [87:27] land that I am giving to them to Ben [87:29] Israel. Every place on which the soul of [87:32] your foot treads I am giving to you as I [87:36] spoke to Moses. From the wilderness and [87:39] this Lebanon to the great river, the [87:41] Euphrates River. All the land of the [87:44] Hittites to the great sea toward the [87:46] setting of the sun will be your [87:48] territory. No one will be able to stand [87:51] before you all the days of your life. [87:54] Just as I was with Moses, so I will be [87:56] with you and will not fail you or [87:59] forsake you. Kazak, be strong, for you [88:02] will lead these people to inherit the [88:04] land I swore to their fathers to give [88:07] them. [88:08] Only be very strong and resolute to [88:11] observe diligently the Torah which [88:14] Moses, my servant, commanded you. [88:17] Do not turn it. Do not turn from it to [88:19] the right or to the left, so you may be [88:22] successful wherever you go. This book of [88:25] the Torah should not depart from your [88:27] mouth. You are to meditate on it day and [88:30] night, so that you may be careful to do [88:32] everything written in it. For then you [88:34] will make your ways prosperous, and then [88:37] you will be successful. Have I not [88:39] commanded you, Khazak? Be strong. Do not [88:42] be terrified or dismayed, for Adonai [88:45] your God, is with you wherever you go. [88:48] Then Joshua commanded the officials of [88:50] the people, saying, "Go through the camp [88:52] and charge the people, saying, "Prepare [88:55] provisions, for within 3 days you will [88:57] be crossing over this Jordan to go in to [89:00] possess the land which Adonai your God [89:02] is giving you to possess it." [89:05] Then Joshua spoke to the Reubenites, [89:08] Gedites, and half tribe of Manasseh, [89:10] saying, "Remember the word that Moses, [89:12] the servant of Adoni, commanded you, [89:15] saying, Adonai, your God, has given you [89:17] rest and has assigned to you this land. [89:21] Your wives, your little ones, and your [89:24] cattle will remain in the land which [89:26] Moses gave you beyond the Jordan. But [89:28] you will cross over before your brothers [89:30] armed, all the mighty men of valor, and [89:33] will help them until Adonai gives your [89:36] brothers rest as he has given you. And [89:39] they also possess the land that Adonai [89:41] your God is giving them. Then you will [89:44] return to the land of your inheritance [89:46] and possess what Moses, the servant of [89:48] Adonai, gave you beyond the Jordan [89:50] toward the sunrise. [89:52] Then they answered Joshua, saying, "All [89:55] that you have commanded us, we will do, [89:57] and wherever you send us, we will go. [90:00] Just as we obeyed Moses in all things, [90:03] so we will obey you. Only may Adonai, [90:06] your God, be with you as he was with [90:08] Moses." [90:10] Whoever rebelss against your command and [90:12] does not obey your words in all that you [90:14] command him, he will be put to death. [90:17] Only be strong and courageous. [90:37] Posting between readings. [91:04] Amen. [91:08] >> I have [91:10] >> Oh yeah, I have [91:15] The slide hasn't been changed. [91:17] >> Oh, is it? I'm sorry. Okay. I don't see [91:20] it up there. [91:40] Uh the apostolic reading [91:43] >> for today [91:45] is from Joshua 1. [91:48] >> No, the revelation. [91:49] >> Revelation. [91:50] >> Oh, I'm sorry. [91:51] >> It was left open on the Joshua. That was [91:54] >> You want to pull the mic up a little? [91:56] >> Okay. Well, [91:59] >> I got it. I got it. [92:02] >> I'll speak into it. I'll just I'll just [92:04] go like this. [92:09] >> So, Revelations 22. [92:17] Then the angel showed me a river of the [92:19] water of life, [92:21] bright as crystal, flowing from the [92:25] throne of God and of the Lamb down the [92:28] middle of the city's street. [92:32] On either side of the river was a tree [92:34] of life [92:36] beaming, [92:38] excuse me, bearing 12 kinds of fruit, [92:44] yielding its fruit each month. And the [92:46] leaves of the tree were for the healing [92:50] of the nations. [92:52] No longer will there be any curse. [92:56] >> Hallelujah. [92:57] >> Amen. [92:58] >> Uh the throne of God and of the Lamb [93:01] shall be in the city [93:04] and his servants shall serve him. They [93:07] shall see his face and his name shall be [93:11] on their foreheads. [93:14] Night shall be no more and people will [93:18] have no need for lamp light or sunlight [93:21] for Adonai Elohim will shine on them and [93:25] they shall reign forever and ever. He [93:30] said to me, "These words are trustworthy [93:32] and true. Adonai, the God of the spirits [93:35] of the prophets, has sent this his angel [93:38] to show his servants what must happen [93:42] soon. [93:43] Behold, I am coming soon. [93:46] How fortunate is the one who keeps the [93:49] words of the prophecy of this book. I, [93:53] Yohanan, am the one hearing and seeing [93:57] these things. [93:59] And when I heard and saw them, I fell [94:02] down to worship at his feet, [94:06] at the feet of an angel, showing me [94:08] these things. [94:11] But he tells me, "See that you do not do [94:15] that. I am a fellow servant with you and [94:20] your brothers, the prophets, and those [94:23] keeping the words of this book. Worship [94:25] God." [94:27] Then tell me, then he tells me, [94:31] "Do not seal up the words of the [94:34] prophecy of this book, for the time is [94:36] near. Let the evildoer still do evil, [94:40] and the filthy still be filthy, and the [94:43] righteous still do righteousness, and [94:46] the holy still be holy. Behold, I am [94:49] coming soon, and my reward is with me to [94:54] pay back each one according to his [94:57] deeds. [94:58] I am the Alpha and the Omega, [95:02] the first and the last, the beginning [95:04] and the end. How fortunate are those who [95:06] wash their robes so that they may have [95:09] the right to the tree of life and may [95:12] enter through the gates into the city. [95:16] Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers [95:18] and the sexually immoral and the [95:21] murderers and the idoltors [95:24] and everyone who loves and practices [95:27] falsehood. [95:29] I Yeshua have sent my angel to testify [95:33] these things to you for my for my [95:37] communities. [95:40] I am the root and the offspring of [95:43] Davided the bright and morning star and [95:47] the ruach [95:49] the ruach and the bride say come. And [95:53] let the one who hears [95:56] say come. Let the one who is thirsty [96:00] come. Let the one who wishes freely [96:04] >> take the water of life. I testify to [96:07] everyone who hears the words of the [96:09] prophecy of this book. If anyone adds to [96:12] them, God shall add to him the plagues [96:15] that are written in this book. And if [96:18] anyone takes away from the words of the [96:21] book of this prophecy, God shall take [96:24] away his share in the tree of life and [96:27] the holy city which are written in this [96:30] book. The one giving testimony to these [96:34] things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." [96:38] Amen. [96:40] Come, Lord Yeshua. May the grace of the [96:44] Lord Yeshua be with [96:48] you with all. [96:50] >> Amen. [97:06] >> Blessing up for the final reading. [97:27] for [97:35] mechu. [97:38] Amen. [97:51] Okay. So, we need somebody to open the [97:54] ark. [98:10] Come on up. [98:33] managed to open those two heavy doors [98:35] all by [98:41] >> and join us for ES on page 24. [98:54] among [99:23] Wasn't [99:42] that a fabulous and fun sim for [99:47] amen? [99:49] >> It's not even over yet. [99:51] >> It's not because how we can bless the [99:54] children under the [99:57] >> How fantastic is that?
[100:00] >> That is truly fantastic.
[100:11] >> Made even more fantastic by these
[100:13] fantastical
[100:15] >> youngans.
[100:26] Look, walk up here. Setting a good
[100:30] example of how to walk in a totally
[100:33] sanctuary appropriate manner. A little
[100:36] wobble, but
[100:38] >> wonderful.
[100:46] >> I remember that commercial.
[100:54] It was true, too.
[100:58] >> That's true. As a wise man mentioned
[101:01] here, weebles wobble, but they don't
[101:03] fall down. But
[101:06] >> but people
[101:08] want
[101:08] >> But people wobble and they do fall down.
[101:24] Okay,
[101:26] >> look at look at you
[101:29] >> beautiful people.
[101:30] >> Look at you.
[101:32] >> Beautiful.
[101:38] >> Father, we thank you. Thank you again
[101:41] for these children. And we ask you to
[101:44] give them the the gift of the Torah
[101:49] uh implanted,
[101:51] written in their hearts
[101:54] that they would uh that they would do
[101:57] it, Lord, that they would walk with you.
[102:04] May God make you as Ephraima.
[102:09] Rifka Rael Vala. May God make you as
[102:13] Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leia. In the
[102:16] name of Messiah Yeshua, we bless Maru.
[102:21] >> Amen.
[102:23] >> Amen.
[102:36] >> Sure.
[102:40] Worship the Lord. Okay.
[103:09] Well,
[103:11] >> since it's a time Yeah.
[103:14] Since it's time to a day of rejoicing in
[103:18] the Torah, we're going to rejoice just a
[103:21] little bit more. And we're going to
[103:23] rejoice in spite of the fact that this
[103:25] sound system, at least on our end, keeps
[103:28] leaving us like we have no monitors at
[103:31] the moment. So,
[103:33] >> we're just going to sing and enjoy the
[103:35] Lord, right?
[103:51] The king is coming. Lift up your hands.
[103:54] The king is coming. Hosana.
[103:58] The king is coming. Lift up your voice

[107:00] heads all your gates. Enter the king.
[107:07] Who is this king that we should lift our
[107:10] hands?
[107:13] Glorious voice to shout his glory.
[107:20] He is the mighty one who gives us
[107:24] victory.
[107:26] He is the king of king of glory.
[107:33] Yeshua,
[107:35] you are our victory.
[107:40] You are You are our king.
[107:47] You are You are victory.
[107:54] You still are.
[108:00] Let God.
[108:05] Let
[108:07] arise.
[108:10] Letise.
[108:15] Letise.
[108:21] Let his enemies be scattered
[108:24] and let the righteous be glad. Yes. Let
[108:28] them rejoice with gladness. God is
[108:32] triumph finally.

[108:57] Let his enemies be scattered
[109:00] and let the righteous be blessed.
[109:03] Yes. Let them rejoice with gladness
[109:07] because I am finally
[109:12] with God.
[109:18] Let God.
[109:33] Let his enemies be scattered
[109:37] and let the righteous be glad.
[109:40] Yes, let them rejoice with gladness. But
[109:44] you might
[110:08] go
[110:15] Hello
[110:18] everyone.
[110:39] Heat. Heat.
[110:51] love.
[111:07] Hello my ador.
[111:10] There are men that you
[111:14] love
[111:17] and a good
[111:33] reason
[111:38] for
[111:40] tonight.
[111:56] I hate you.
[112:07] Hallelujah. Let's praise his glorious
[112:11] name above all names.
[112:14] Hello
[112:16] adore.
[112:18] There are the Oh, hello.
[112:30] Hello. I adore you.
[112:41] Heat. Heat. Heat.
[112:52] Oh,
[113:10] yeah.
[113:26] He shall reign over all the earth. He
[113:30] shall reign over all the earth. He shall
[113:34] reign over all the earth. He shall reign
[113:38] over all the earth. Yes, he shall reign
[113:42] over all the earth. He shall reign over
[113:46] all the earth. He shall reign over all
[113:50] you. He shall reform
[113:55] the rod of blessing and the bread shall
[113:59] grow from his roots. The spirit of God
[114:03] will rest upon him. The spirit of wisdom
[114:09] and he shall reign over all the earth.
[114:13] He shall reign over all the earth. He
[114:17] shall reign over all the earth. He shall
[114:21] reign over all you. He will not judge
[114:24] with the sight of his eyes. Though
[114:27] decide with the hearing of his ears, but
[114:30] with righteousness judge the poor and
[114:34] decide with fairness for the me.
[114:38] He shall reign all the earth. He shall
[114:46] shall
[114:48] shall.
[114:52] He shall gather the outcasts of Israel
[114:56] first of all Judah from the earth. He
[114:59] shall stand as a dancing for the people
[115:03] and his resurrection shall be glorious
[115:06] and he shall reign over all the earth.
[115:11] Sh.
[115:21] You shall over
[115:25] shall over
[115:28] shall over
[115:36] over all the earth.
[115:42] Shall over all the earth.
[115:54] >> Hallelujah.
[115:56] >> Hallelujah. Lord
[116:11] Oh yeah.
[117:35] I will bring the back.
[117:48] Yeshua shall reign over all the earth.
[117:54] Yeshua shall reign over all the earth.
[118:00] >> What do you think? Hallelujah.
[118:11] >> Well,
[118:16] here we are.
[118:21] We've read through the Torah again
[118:25] and started over.
[118:32] Why do we start over right away?
[118:40] >> Can we keep up momentum?
[118:45] >> Well, that's not a bad answer. I mean,
[118:47] it doesn't specifically say in the Torah
[118:51] that um
[118:54] when you read through
[118:57] whether corporately or individually,
[119:00] that you when you get to the end of
[119:02] Deuteronomy that you must begin right
[119:06] away at the beginning of Genesis.
[119:11] Does it?
[119:12] >> No.
[119:14] But does it say anything that would
[119:16] would support the the notion of it or
[119:19] the concept behind it?
[119:24] >> Yes.
[119:27] >> Not forget what
[119:31] >> that's good. That's a good answer, too.
[119:33] >> I would say
[119:35] >> that you shouldn't forget.
[119:38] >> Go ahead. You would say what?
[119:41] >> If God says to study the word to show
[119:44] yourself approved, just one verse, then
[119:48] you can only do that when you're alive.
[119:50] So
[119:51] >> can only do what when you're alive?
[119:52] >> To study the word to show yourself
[119:54] approved. So in order to do that, you
[119:56] have to be alive. So I don't think that
[119:59] that's unending as long as you're alive.
[120:03] >> That's a good answer, too.
[120:07] >> Yeah.
[120:10] I'm I'm thinking uh well whenever we
[120:14] finish the book we always say the words
[120:18] you know hak
[120:21] be strong be strong and let us be let us
[120:26] be strengthened I think there's a a
[120:30] there's a matter
[120:32] I don't have all the words but it has
[120:34] there's a a fact of continuity
[120:37] expectancy
[120:39] in in continuing his word and looking
[120:42] back and again starting again.
[120:48] >> Yeah. Well, like you know in the ancient
[120:50] times there was a little more to that
[120:53] thing at the end of the book.
[120:57] I'll just give you the English.
[120:59] Be strong. Be strong. And let us be
[121:02] strengthened. And hey, let's start
[121:04] another book.
[121:08] really.
[121:15] >> No, it it didn't that was never on
[121:17] there. But
[121:19] >> but but no rabbi of blessed memory would
[121:22] disagree with the notion of hey, let's
[121:24] start the next book.
[121:26] Um,
[121:28] so
[121:30] I have a book called The Jewish Way by
[121:35] Herving Greenberg,
[121:37] which um I've looked at quite a lot in
[121:40] the past,
[121:43] but not so much recently.
[121:46] But I did look at just a tiny bit of it
[121:48] the other day
[121:50] and uh
[121:54] I think I think in there
[122:00] in the chapter on Sukot he talks about
[122:03] the dream
[122:06] the the Jewish dream
[122:08] and uh I can't I can't I can't go into
[122:11] much detail but Um
[122:17] and but anyway,
[122:20] the very next chapter, can you guess
[122:22] what it is after?
[122:29] >> It's a chapter on Shabbat.
[122:33] And the subtitle is
[122:36] the dream and how to live it.
[122:40] And again, I'm not going to go into any
[122:42] detail, but
[122:45] um
[122:49] do you think there's anything about
[122:50] Shabbat that would be
[122:53] uh instructive of how to live the dream?
[122:56] What is the dream anyway?
[123:05] >> What?
[123:06] >> Multicolor.
[123:08] Yeah. If you can speak louder, it would
[123:11] help me.
[123:12] >> It's hard. Multicolored.
[123:15] >> Multicolored. Oh, you dream. Yeah. You
[123:18] know, it's a modern question. Do you
[123:20] dream in black and white or in color?
[123:24] There was a time before there was any
[123:26] film. There wasn't black and white or
[123:28] color. There was just, you know, stuff.
[123:31] >> The dream is
[123:32] >> I don't think anybody dreamed of black
[123:33] and white until after film came along.
[123:36] Anyway,
[123:36] >> the dream is to live with Adonai in the
[123:40] age to come forever.
[123:42] >> Say once again,
[123:44] >> to live in the with Adonai forever in
[123:46] the age to come.
[123:49] >> Yeah, that's the dream. And the dream is
[123:54] um I mean not everybody sees it the same
[123:57] way but
[124:00] the dream is um
[124:04] well I think Milton wrote about both
[124:06] ends of a paradise lost and didn't he
[124:09] write something called paradise
[124:11] regained? No.
[124:13] >> Well,
[124:16] the dream is paradise regained or
[124:20] a uh restored creation
[124:25] where everything
[124:28] is brought back
[124:31] into balance. I actually think brought
[124:34] into the final
[124:36] and most perfect balance that God always
[124:39] had in mind.
[124:41] So
[124:44] that's a dream I guess. I mean some
[124:46] people just think of it as a dream is
[124:50] going to heaven
[124:53] and um
[124:56] well I suppose that could be a dream but
[124:57] heaven yeah
[124:59] >> dream is limitless peace.
[125:02] >> A what
[125:03] >> dream is limitless peace.
[125:05] >> Limitless peace.
[125:06] >> Limitless peace.
[125:08] >> Yeah. What? What is peace?
[125:16] >> Absence of what?
[125:17] >> Peace I give to you.
[125:19] >> Some people define peace as not being at
[125:22] war. But is that really peace?
[125:24] >> It's full shalom. It's fullness,
[125:27] perfection, completion.
[125:30] >> So
[125:32] yeah. So
[125:34] I I don't disagree, Rosling.
[125:40] But absence of worry alone probably
[125:42] isn't the full definition, right? I
[125:45] mean, peace ultimately is uh the coming
[125:47] of the kingdom in its fullness.
[125:51] And um
[125:53] so
[125:58] everybody here want that?
[126:02] >> So how do we live here now in the time
[126:04] we have left?
[126:09] without that being completely
[126:13] brought to fruition. How do we do it?
[126:18] We set our minds on things above. We
[126:21] meditate on the word day and night.
[126:26] So the thing is
[126:31] we should
[126:33] the scripture talk about longing for
[126:40] the return of the Lord. But in effect
[126:42] that's longing for
[126:45] the age to come.
[126:48] Um
[126:50] and uh hastening it
[126:56] and also patiently waiting for it. It
[126:58] sounds like
[127:00] be impatient and be patient but be
[127:03] patient.
[127:05] Um
[127:06] hastening the coming of the Lord. How
[127:08] how would we how would we hasten it? The
[127:12] thing is, desiring the age to come could
[127:15] just be
[127:17] a morose focus on what we don't like
[127:21] about this current life and time,
[127:25] which can turn into a a sour thing,
[127:29] which is really just discontentment with
[127:32] not having it all yet.
[127:35] We shouldn't be content with how things
[127:38] are here as though we would just want to
[127:40] live forever with it that way.
[127:44] But we shouldn't just become
[127:47] more gross
[127:50] and just kind of think, well,
[127:53] I can't wait until this is over,
[127:56] so something better will come.
[127:59] It's um
[128:04] I guess I would be a little bit like
[128:07] you know you you plan out a a new house.
[128:13] Maybe we're talking about someone who's
[128:14] younger,
[128:17] but you know, a new house, build the new
[128:20] house,
[128:22] get the land, you break the ground, pour
[128:24] pour the footings,
[128:26] and then just sit down and long for it
[128:28] to be finished.
[128:31] What would happen? Would Would the house
[128:32] get built?
[128:35] Now, the house wouldn't get built, but
[128:37] you'd have this dream. And the longer
[128:40] you sat on the stump dreaming about the
[128:42] house being finished without doing
[128:45] anything,
[128:47] the more sort of discontent and maybe
[128:51] depressed you would get, do you think?
[128:54] >> Um, I don't know. Has anybody here ever
[128:58] planned and figured that they would do
[129:00] something and then just
[129:03] even sat and enjoyed thinking about it?
[129:06] >> Yeah.
[129:07] >> Yeah.
[129:08] >> And then
[129:10] and then not done it.
[129:13] >> Absolutely.
[129:14] >> What?
[129:15] >> Absolutely.
[129:16] >> And then then you ever return to just
[129:19] sitting thinking about it and you know
[129:20] actually enjoying thinking about it.
[129:25] I I mean in my own experience I'll have
[129:27] to admit that there are times when I
[129:29] just think about some things that you
[129:30] know that I just like to do which you
[129:33] know which would be fine and good to do.
[129:37] And then I remember times where I sat
[129:39] thinking
[129:42] you just like dreaming about stuff
[129:44] better than doing stuff.
[129:48] like you get more out of just
[129:51] dreaming about it and imagining how it's
[129:54] going to be than than actually like
[129:55] going and doing something. Now, it's not
[129:58] that I've never gone and done anything,
[130:00] but but I guess the thing is I noticed
[130:03] something about what what I could be
[130:07] like.
[130:08] And um
[130:11] and the thing is if if you do a lot of
[130:13] that, it's not really that good for your
[130:17] development or the things they well I
[130:21] mean assuming we're thinking about
[130:22] things that ought to be happening
[130:25] they they won't happen but you can enjoy
[130:28] just dreaming about it. The thing is
[130:30] sitting and you know dreamily
[130:33] thinking about it doesn't involve
[130:38] whatever the the work would be involved.
[130:41] It's just it's just the you know it's
[130:44] just a mental thing.
[130:47] So maybe that's the advantage is that
[130:51] you can almost you can almost taste it.
[130:54] So you sit there thinking as though
[130:56] you're actually tasting it. It's
[130:59] actually there, but it's not happening.
[131:02] And so, at some point, you got to
[131:03] decide.
[131:05] Well, am I going to actually do the
[131:08] thing
[131:09] or
[131:11] or do I just like dreaming?
[131:14] And uh I think it's good to have dreams.
[131:17] I think people ought to have dreams,
[131:21] but we probably shouldn't only have
[131:23] dreams.
[131:25] And when it comes to the kingdom,
[131:28] it shouldn't just be a dream. It should
[131:30] be
[131:33] it should be waiting for, expecting, and
[131:37] hastening. And it and it might not be
[131:40] easy for us all the time to
[131:44] to determine exactly what hastening it
[131:47] is.
[131:49] You think? Or maybe all of you know
[131:51] exactly what hastening the the the
[131:54] coming of the kingdom is and you can
[131:56] just tell me about it and then I'll I'll
[131:58] I'll be a little further ahead than I
[132:00] was this morning when I got up.
[132:04] It's not that I don't have any ideas.
[132:06] >> Well, there are some who think it's
[132:09] getting every Jew to observe one
[132:10] Shabbat.
[132:12] >> That's that's true. I've I've met a
[132:15] number of them.
[132:17] Um,
[132:19] and in some cases I think I might be
[132:21] reduced to actually
[132:24] every Jew lighting candles.
[132:27] I I think I think I've heard that from
[132:30] some place.
[132:32] >> Shabbat candles. That is not just any
[132:34] old candle. Um, the funny thing about
[132:38] that is that that there is
[132:42] >> I've thought about that and I've
[132:44] thought, well, you know,
[132:48] If every Jewish people, every Jewish
[132:50] person alive actually
[132:53] truly observed the Sabbath,
[132:57] we probably would be there
[133:02] because that would be I mean what
[133:05] ultimately would be observing the the
[133:07] Sabbath would what would it ultimately
[133:09] be
[133:14] >> being in the rest of Messiah. Yeshua.
[133:18] >> I Yeah, I think so.
[133:20] So, um,
[133:23] anyway, between now and
[133:26] and the end or the beginning, whichever
[133:28] way you want to look at it,
[133:32] we we have a need to keep ourselves
[133:37] um
[133:41] believing
[133:45] in God's completion of what he set out
[133:47] to do to begin with.
[133:51] And um
[133:58] so we need to not
[134:00] lose heart. I'm going to I'm going to
[134:03] read um
[134:05] I'm going to read a couple of passages
[134:08] here.
[134:09] Oh, and I'm
[134:13] Well, as usual, one of them I I don't I
[134:17] thought I printed it, but I didn't. But
[134:20] I know where it is, so I'll I'll just
[134:22] find it.
[134:25] Um,
[134:38] >> do you think that there's a way in which
[134:40] everyone
[134:43] that uh well at least names the name of
[134:46] Messiah
[134:48] that everyone
[134:51] all of those
[134:53] should
[134:56] rejoice in the Torah.
[135:00] You think
[135:02] >> um
[135:04] you know it's it's not it's relatively
[135:07] recently in history that the
[135:10] sort of teaching as though the law
[135:15] wasn't relevant or had any application
[135:17] came along. that the actually the the
[135:21] church world
[135:24] taught and believed
[135:26] in the Torah and that it should be
[135:28] taught that I guess I said that for for
[135:32] a very long time. It's a it's I mean
[135:34] it's not that nobody ever thought any of
[135:36] these things but it but it's but in
[135:38] terms of large u large groups of people
[135:43] having a thought process in particular
[135:46] teachings
[135:49] it it really
[135:51] down through history wasn't that
[135:54] >> there was this notion that the Torah was
[135:56] bad
[135:58] >> that law was bad
[136:01] and um
[136:03] In fact, in in in terms of the church's
[136:06] view of things,
[136:09] it was believed for a very very long
[136:13] time.
[136:15] Um, up until probably
[136:20] probably up till at least the uh
[136:23] beginning of this country, if not a
[136:25] little ways into
[136:28] the United States's history.
[136:33] that that the law was binding and and
[136:36] that uh people should observe all of the
[136:40] the ten commandments in particular and
[136:44] that one of them was Shabbat. They I
[136:45] mean they they they changed it to
[136:48] Sunday, but the thing is they were they
[136:51] were thinking essentially the same thing
[136:55] was that um this was meant for man and
[136:58] that it wasn't it wasn't optional. It
[137:00] was it actually wasn't a day to go
[137:02] fishing or just to do whatever you
[137:05] wanted.
[137:07] And um even to the extent that depending
[137:11] on where you were living, you could get
[137:12] in trouble, I think, if for doing
[137:15] certain things on the Shabbat. Can you
[137:17] imagine that?
[137:19] Does that just sound like cruel legalism
[137:21] or was there anything to it?
[137:25] There are places where if you're doing
[137:27] certain things on Shabbat, you'll have
[137:28] stone thrown at you. Can you name one of
[137:30] those places?
[137:32] >> Jerusalem.
[137:32] >> Jerusalem. Yeah. I'm not saying
[137:34] everybody will throw a stone at you, but
[137:36] there are people that will.
[137:37] >> You think that would be a violation of
[137:39] Shabbat to pick up a stone and throw it?
[137:42] >> And um I didn't we didn't get any stones
[137:45] thrown at us, but we were sitting in
[137:49] Jackie Santoro's car with her in
[137:51] Jerusalem
[137:53] uh on a Shabbat,
[137:56] and I don't remember what exactly
[137:58] happened.
[138:00] But this man came walking along.
[138:03] >> I don't I don't know if Jackie said
[138:05] something to him or if Anyway, I
[138:06] remember him. He he looked
[138:10] it was I think he was talking to her
[138:13] and I think he just said
[138:16] Shabbat Shabbat.
[138:18] >> You know, like he it was clear he didn't
[138:20] think that she was observing
[138:22] Shabbat properly. And so it was it was
[138:25] relatively mild but you know it mattered
[138:28] to him and um and he wasn't whatever it
[138:33] was we were doing he wasn't doing. Maybe
[138:36] just the fact that we were in a car
[138:38] maybe that's what it was I guess cuz
[138:39] that that would indicate that the car
[138:42] had maybe been started and driven
[138:44] somewhere.
[138:45] Um
[138:47] it it it might not be against holocat to
[138:51] sit in a car on Shabbat,
[138:55] but as a friend of mine says when I ask
[138:59] him certain things says, "Oh, I'd have
[139:02] to ask a rabbi."
[139:08] And and the last time that was was when
[139:12] I asked him after a fairly lengthy
[139:15] discussion of having him and his wife to
[139:17] our place for dinner.
[139:20] I I threw in the question. I said, "Uh,
[139:22] well, could you have dinner with us?"
[139:25] And the reply comes back, "Oh, I I'd
[139:29] have to ask a rabbi."
[139:32] I never found out if he found out, but
[139:35] anyway.
[139:36] Um,
[139:39] I think people need
[139:43] um I think people need the Torah. I
[139:46] think they need God's instruction.
[139:50] And I don't think I don't think grace
[139:55] means the end of
[139:59] >> Torah.
[140:01] I actually think grace, Torah is grace.
[140:06] And um
[140:08] so we we get back to the beginning of
[140:10] Genesis and God's creating
[140:15] and and really ever since uh well early
[140:18] in the book of Genesis,
[140:21] the process of
[140:24] restoring creation has been going on.
[140:28] I I think I think it began actually I
[140:32] think when when do you think the process
[140:34] of
[140:36] creation being restored which ultimately
[140:39] is the coming of the kingdom actually
[140:42] began in Genesis. When do you think?
[140:44] >> Well, it says before the foundation of
[140:46] the ages.
[140:49] >> Well, I I I agree. I do agree.
[140:54] >> But otherwise, it's when Adonai
[140:57] slaughtered the animal to give clothing.
[141:01] >> That's actually what I was going to say,
[141:05] but when I was thinking about saying it,
[141:06] I thought, wait, wait a minute.
[141:09] >> Oh, maybe it was even slightly earlier
[141:11] >> when he went looking for them.
[141:13] >> Yeah, it it began when he went looking
[141:19] for
[141:22] Adam and and Eve.
[141:25] and um and he is still looking for man.
[141:30] Abraham Joshua Hesshel wrote a book
[141:32] called God in search of man.
[141:35] Um I I would suggest to any one of you
[141:38] it would be a good book to read.
[141:41] I think God's still searching and he's
[141:44] going to be searching for man. that
[141:47] includes mankind and individual persons
[141:52] um
[141:54] until the coming of the fullness of the
[141:57] kingdom.
[141:59] And I mean it is kind of a paradox in a
[142:02] way. It's like well why would he have to
[142:04] search for man or any man because
[142:06] doesn't he know where everybody is? But
[142:07] yes he does. But the fact is is that his
[142:11] search
[142:13] >> finally results in us being aware that
[142:17] he wants us back. Does that make sense?
[142:22] >> So he finds us when we become aware of
[142:26] him though in the one sense he's found
[142:28] us all along. But I'm just going to read
[142:31] you Psalm 19.
[142:36] The heavens are telling of the glory of
[142:38] God,
[142:40] >> and their expanse is declaring the work
[142:42] of his hands. Day to day pours forth
[142:46] speech, and night to night reveals
[142:47] knowledge. There is no speech, nor are
[142:51] their words. Their voice is not heard.
[142:54] Their lion has gone out through all the
[142:56] earth, and their utterances to the end
[142:58] of the world. In them he has placed a
[143:00] tent for the sun, which is as a
[143:03] bridegroom coming out of his chamber.
[143:07] It rejoices as a strong man to run his
[143:10] course.
[143:14] Its rising is from one end of the
[143:16] heavens and its circuit to the other end
[143:18] of them, and there is nothing hidden
[143:20] from its heat.
[143:22] The law of the Lord is perfect,
[143:25] restoring the soul.
[143:29] The testimony of the Lord is sure,
[143:32] making wise the symbol. The precepts of
[143:36] the Lord are right.
[143:38] Rejoicing the heart. There there's
[143:41] that's that's
[143:44] >> rejoicing in the Torah.
[143:47] The precepts of the Lord are right.
[143:49] Rejoicing in the heart. The commandment
[143:51] of the Lord is pure, enlightening in the
[143:54] eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean,
[143:58] enduring forever. The judgments of the
[144:02] Lord are true. They are righteous
[144:05] altogether.
[144:07] There are more They are more desirable
[144:09] than gold. Yes. Than fine gold. What
[144:12] What is more desireable than fine gold?
[144:17] >> The Torah.
[144:19] >> What?
[144:20] >> The Torah.
[144:21] >> Yeah.
[144:23] >> Yes. than much fine gold, more
[144:26] desirable, sweeter also than honey, and
[144:29] the drippings of the honeycomb.
[144:32] Moreover, by them your servant is
[144:35] warned.
[144:37] In keeping them there is great reward.
[144:42] Probably good to keep reading it because
[144:44] we maybe need to be warned over and
[144:47] over,
[144:48] reminded that there are things to pursue
[144:51] and things to avoid,
[144:55] things pleasing to God, things making
[144:58] for peace, and things that bring harm
[145:01] and uh unrest.
[145:06] Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of
[145:09] hidden faults. also keep back your
[145:13] servant from presumptuous sins. Let them
[145:16] not rule over me. Then I will be
[145:19] blameless and I shall be acquitted of
[145:22] great transgression.
[145:24] You think um being kept back from
[145:28] presumptuous sins has anything to do
[145:31] with the Torah?
[145:33] >> Yeah.
[145:36] In another place, the verse is
[145:41] about having hidden the word of the Lord
[145:43] in the heart that that one might not
[145:46] sin.
[145:48] Then I will be blame blameless and I
[145:50] shall be acquitted of great
[145:51] transgression. Let the words of my mouth
[145:53] and the meditation of my heart be
[145:55] acceptable in your sight,
[145:58] oh Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
[146:01] So there you have
[146:08] a clear message that the Torah is good,
[146:12] that it warns you and brings protection
[146:15] from trouble.
[146:18] And um just a couple other passages and
[146:21] I'll be done.
[146:26] What shall we say then? Is the law a
[146:28] sin?
[146:30] May it never be.
[146:32] By the way, I I wish Paul would have
[146:34] been more explicit and extremely
[146:38] specific and precise about certain
[146:40] things so that the only way to translate
[146:43] the book of Romans would have been
[146:44] exactly the right way.
[146:46] >> Can you tell exactly where that passage
[146:48] was?
[146:49] >> Romans 7:7 is where I started.
[146:53] Um anyway,
[146:55] may it never be May the law never be
[146:58] sin. On the contrary
[147:00] contrary, I would not have come to know
[147:02] sin except through the law
[147:06] or the Torah. For I would not have known
[147:09] about coveting if the law had not said,
[147:11] "You shall not covet."
[147:14] But sin taking opportunity through the
[147:16] commandment produced in me coveting of
[147:19] every kind. For apart from the law or
[147:23] the Torah, sin is dead. is it? Um,
[147:28] and I think that may be slightly hard to
[147:30] understand,
[147:32] but Adam and Eve just had this one
[147:34] instruction not to eat something, right?
[147:37] >> Yeah.
[147:39] >> And um
[147:41] I suppose you could say if God hadn't
[147:44] given them even one specific instruction
[147:51] that they couldn't have transgressed.
[147:55] Does that make sense?
[147:56] >> Yeah.
[147:58] >> Anyway,
[148:00] apart from the law, sin is dead.
[148:05] I was once alive, apart from the law.
[148:07] But when the commandment came, sin
[148:09] became alive and I died. Maybe that's
[148:11] what happened to Adam and Eve. They were
[148:14] alive before they were given that one
[148:18] instruction.
[148:21] And then after that one instruction,
[148:27] it talks about sin almost as it's if
[148:30] it's a separate being here, but we know
[148:32] it's not.
[148:35] Came the opportunity to break it, to
[148:40] covet, to want what was God's alone.
[148:44] So,
[148:53] But the commandment came,
[148:56] sin became alive and I died. And this
[148:58] commandment which was to result in life
[149:01] proved to result in death for me. For
[149:03] sin taking an opportunity through the
[149:06] commandment deceived me and through it
[149:08] killed me. So then,
[149:11] so then the law is holy and the
[149:15] commandment is holy
[149:18] and righteous and good.
[149:21] Therefore, did that which is good become
[149:23] a cause of death for me? May it never
[149:26] be.
[149:28] Rather, it was sin, or I would say my
[149:31] own
[149:34] greediness
[149:36] perhaps,
[149:38] in order that I might be shown to be sin
[149:40] by affecting my death through that which
[149:42] is good, so that through the
[149:45] commandment, sin would become utterly
[149:48] sinful.
[149:50] I joyfully agree with the Torah.
[149:55] So if you thought of gravity as a law,
[149:58] which it is, natural law, right?
[150:04] It's perfectly good. I'm glad we have it
[150:07] because we we'd be floating around
[150:10] without it. But if I go to the edge of a
[150:13] cliff and violate it by jumping off,
[150:18] >> it'll kill me.
[150:20] But that doesn't mean
[150:22] gravity is bad.
[150:25] anymore, then this means God's Torah is
[150:29] bad.
[150:31] So
[150:33] he says,
[150:37] "For I joyfully concur with the law of
[150:40] God and the inner man,
[150:43] but then I see what's going on in my
[150:45] members." I'm paraphrasing here. Waging
[150:48] war against the law of my mind and
[150:51] making me a prisoner of the law of sin
[150:53] which is in my members.
[150:56] Wretched man that I am who will set me
[150:58] free from the body of this sin. Thanks
[151:01] be to God through Yeshua our Messiah,
[151:04] the Messiah our Lord. So then on the one
[151:06] hand I myself with my mind am serving
[151:09] the law of God, but on the other with my
[151:11] flesh the law of sin. Now, I'm among
[151:14] those that do not think that Paul was
[151:17] saying that he was serving sin on an
[151:20] ongoing basis after he met Messiah. But
[151:24] some people actually think he was saying
[151:26] that about himself. I do think he was
[151:29] saying we aren't perfect, but the
[151:31] perfect Lord brings redemption.
[151:35] So, um,
[151:46] just one moment.
[151:51] I I'm just going to I'm just going to
[151:53] close with um
[151:56] a few verses out of First Corinthians
[151:59] 13.
[152:00] Love never fails.
[152:03] But if there are gifts of prophecy,
[152:05] they'll be done away. If there are
[152:06] tongues, they will cease. There is
[152:09] knowledge, it will be done away. For we
[152:12] know in part, and we prophesy in part.
[152:16] But when the perfect comes, the partial
[152:19] will be done away. When I was a child, I
[152:22] used to speak like a child, think like a
[152:25] child, reason like a child. When I
[152:28] became a man, I did away with childish
[152:31] things. For now we see
[152:36] in a glass dimly, but then face to face.
[152:41] Now I know in part, but then I will know
[152:44] fully just as I have also been fully
[152:46] known. But now faith, hope, and love
[152:48] abide these three, but the greatest of
[152:51] these is love.
[152:55] Perhaps the the single
[152:59] um
[153:00] most important
[153:02] thing
[153:04] in um living and pursuing the dream
[153:08] short of the fullness of the kingdom
[153:13] is to make sure that we're always
[153:18] in and acting in the love of God. He's
[153:23] loved us.
[153:26] So
[153:28] his work in us makes it possible for us
[153:32] to love, for us to be faithful and kind,
[153:36] for us to be patient with others
[153:40] and them to be patient with us.
[153:44] And
[153:46] we can joyfully
[153:49] thank the Lord for his word and for his
[153:52] promise of the future kingdom
[153:56] at the same time that we
[153:58] patiently
[154:00] live alongside of each other and
[154:02] encourage each other day to day
[154:05] according to
[154:08] God's law and his mercy and grace. What
[154:14] what do you think?
[154:18] >> Um
[154:19] so
[154:26] rejoice that God gave us his word.
[154:31] Rejoice that he sent us his son
[154:34] to redeem us
[154:38] and desire that others would know and
[154:42] that he'd be you and we all would be
[154:45] given a greater love and concern for our
[154:50] fellow man wherever we find them.
[154:54] Um,
[154:56] v Maru
[155:20] Um before the Elenu just a couple of
[155:22] words.
[155:27] So we finished that season of
[155:29] repentance, right? And do you remember
[155:33] um what my husband was framing tshoua as
[155:36] repentance as?
[155:39] Returning to what?
[155:46] >> Our joy.
[155:48] >> No.
[155:48] >> No.
[155:49] >> Affirmation in the sight of God.
[155:51] >> Affirmation of who we really are. Right.
[155:54] >> Yes.
[155:56] of the self in the image of God.
[155:59] >> the reaffirmation of the self in the
[156:02] image of God. And so I think the real
[156:07] reason that we go back to the beginning
[156:11] after all that repenting and the end of
[156:14] the Torah is so that we can actually
[156:17] remember
[156:19] who it is that we were created as. who
[156:23] we were created to be, who the real self
[156:27] is that we're affirming,
[156:29] >> because we've just read this book filled
[156:32] with the stories of man's failures over
[156:36] and over and over. And yet God's
[156:39] faithfulness over and over and over. And
[156:42] so it's like he says, "Go back. Go back
[156:45] and remember
[156:48] who you really are, who I made you to
[156:51] be."
[156:53] And so yeah, the whole book is a little
[156:55] bit of a warning that see we can go
[156:57] astray but come on back. Come on back.
[157:00] So to help you come on back, you got
[157:03] this by email, but also on the back
[157:05] table are these paper copies which fit
[157:09] very nicely in a Bible cover or inside
[157:13] your Bible thing. And you know what's
[157:15] always discouraging to me? This is a
[157:17] Bible in the whole year reading plan,
[157:20] but it's also got the partial uh written
[157:23] down. It's always discouraging to me to
[157:26] do a reading in the Bible in a year plan
[157:28] when I don't get it until I'm like
[157:30] already four days behind. I'm like,
[157:32] "Okay, that's it. I can't do it." Guess
[157:35] what? This starts tomorrow.
[157:39] Tomorrow. So, this is the year um I'm
[157:44] going to go back to reading the Bible in
[157:46] a year. I haven't done it in a while
[157:47] because it became kind of a legalistic
[157:49] thing where I wasn't even paying
[157:51] attention. So, I'm going to go back
[157:54] because I'm not already starting behind.
[157:57] So, I'm encouraged and I encourage all
[158:00] of you this year to um give it a whirl
[158:04] and if you fall off the wagon, well,
[158:06] just go back to reading wherever the
[158:08] Lord leads you to read. Right.
[158:10] >> Amen.
[158:10] >> Right.
[158:11] >> Okay. The Elenu begins on page 25 and we
[158:15] need a couple of people to open the ark.
[158:19] Um Rowan, you haven't opened yet. Who
[158:21] else hasn't?
[158:23] >> Bill and Rowan or Bill and Amy?
[158:26] >> Did you open together? You and you two
[158:29] already. Okay.
[158:31] >> How about the three? How about the four
[158:32] of you all come up and open the art for
[158:34] us? The Ela who you might want to take
[158:36] with you if you don't know it by heart.
[158:37] Page 25.
[158:39] >> The four of
[158:49] Thank you.
[158:52] >> On a day when we're rejoicing in the
[158:54] Torah, we can't have too many people up
[158:56] there opening and closing, right?
[159:03] Okay. You got to at least touch it,
[159:04] Rowan.
[159:07] There we go.
[159:12] Stay there.
[159:24] Shalom.
[159:32] New
[159:43] Fore!
[160:22] Elohim.
[160:36] We hope, oh Lord our God, to soon behold
[160:38] your majestic glory, when all
[160:41] abomination shall be removed, and all
[160:43] false god shall be at an end. Then shall
[160:46] the world be perfected under the rule of
[160:49] the Lord Almighty, and all mankind shall
[160:51] call upon your name. For to you every
[160:54] knee must bow and every tongue declare
[160:57] that you are God. Reign over us soon and
[161:00] forever. May the kingdom of David's
[161:03] greater son be established forever. For
[161:06] then shall the words be fulfilled.
[161:38] And you may close the ark.
[161:53] The Lord bless you and keep you. The
[161:56] Lord make his face shine upon you and be
[162:00] gracious to you. The Lord lift up his
[162:03] countenance upon you and give you peace.
[162:16] Adonai
[162:25] Adonai.
[162:31] Shalom.
