Transcript [00:00] So [00:02] has has your have your views changed in [00:04] any way over the last few weeks and [00:06] months? [00:07] >> Um no not I mean views are constantly [00:11] evolving but yeah still in terms of [00:13] where we am politically from the last [00:15] time we spoke yes still support Jews [00:18] living in Judea and Samaria [00:20] >> still believe that Israel is fighting a [00:24] just and moral war on multiple fronts. [00:27] So yeah, I'm sure it will be um an [00:30] interesting conversation with multiple [00:32] points of disagreement. [00:36] >> And you're talking about Palestinians in [00:38] October 7th. There was a video I saw. I [00:39] started watching and and again I told [00:41] you I've I've become even more critical [00:43] than last time we spoke few weeks ago is [00:44] because I started watching the videos of [00:46] what these settlers are. Even though I [00:48] know it's a minority people, it's a [00:49] group a small relatively small group of [00:51] people. If you play that video with [00:52] audio, and there's a reason I want to [00:54] play it, but if you play it with audio, [00:55] please Stephanie, I saw that yesterday. [00:58] So the settlers entering Palestinian [01:01] LAND [01:06] >> and then um I want to play another video [01:08] as well that's uh if you play this one [01:10] here with audio, I'll play a few of them [01:12] and I'll let you respond to all of them. [01:13] I don't want to kind of flood it with [01:15] all these settlers cuz I know you're not [01:17] a fan of them either. But there's [01:18] another one, you know, I've started [01:20] seeing videos of another one starting to [01:21] go in with the with the wire cutter and [01:24] breaking the fence of Palestinian land. [01:26] That's another one here. [01:31] >> This is the life in the village of Duma. [01:33] This is the second time just today that [01:35] these exact settlers have come here into [01:37] Palestinian property to harass the [01:39] locals. [01:45] >> There's a few there's a few more videos [01:46] like this. I'm not going to play too [01:48] many now, but um and there's ones that [01:50] are a bit more violent. There's one [01:51] where they go in and they just start [01:53] putting Israeli flags in someone's home. [01:55] And um now I was thinking something [01:57] earlier. I was actually today and I'm [01:59] like, man, if I was living there and [02:02] then people just come in, what would I [02:05] do if I was in that situation? If I was [02:07] a Palestinian, I had kids, I had a [02:08] family, and someone would come in and do [02:10] this. And we know that people in the [02:12] West Bank have been subject to this for [02:13] a while by multiple settlers. They've [02:15] had their land taken by Israel. More and [02:17] more settlements have been expanding, [02:18] especially since October 7th. And [02:24] my my question there is obviously your [02:26] comments on this, but more don't you [02:28] think that that this all is feeding to [02:32] the radicalization we're seeing? For [02:34] example, I saw a video of someone in [02:35] Lebanon and he made a video of how his [02:37] home was destroyed. Um, Israeli soldiers [02:40] were in it, destroyed everything in the [02:41] house of the inside of the house and [02:42] then burnt it down. I was watching a [02:43] video a few weeks ago. Probably should [02:45] have saved it for this interview. And [02:47] then in when he was commenting, he's [02:49] like, I will fight. I will fight till [02:50] the end. I will, you know, you destroyed [02:52] the home of my parents where they raised [02:54] me and they they my grandparents raised [02:57] my parents and you know, the resistance [02:59] will never stop. So [03:02] the worry I've always had and I've said [03:04] this to you is that these actions are [03:05] kind of feeding to the violence that [03:07] that is then used as justification for [03:10] more expansion of the settlements, more [03:13] attacks in Lebanon, more attacks or [03:15] sabotage operations in Syria and more [03:18] aggression in Gaza, more bombings in [03:19] Gaza happening on a daily basis. I'm not [03:21] sure if I've asked my question well, but [03:24] it's that that cycle that I'm worried [03:26] about. [03:27] >> Okay. So I feel sorry for every [03:33] pundit, activist, interested party who [03:37] views this conflict through the lens of [03:40] a propagandist because that's exactly [03:43] what you're doing. Every video you [03:46] showed and every video you described [03:48] has been filmed by an activist to convey [03:51] a political message. So before [03:54] addressing each of the videos [03:55] individually, [03:57] I want us to step back. [04:01] What is settler violence? It's now with [04:03] not even settler violence. Now they call [04:05] it settler terrorism. [04:07] So what is it? [04:10] The United Nations um OCA [04:14] are the main organization that reports [04:18] on settler violence. [04:21] In the decade before [04:24] October the 7th, they recorded around [04:27] 8,000 incidents of settler violence. [04:31] These this is the data because it's one [04:33] thing for a guy to wander into well well [04:37] let's say um a goat pen with a a weapon. [04:42] That's one video. Zooming out there's [04:45] 8,000 incidents. So what are those 8,000 [04:49] incidents? [04:51] So it transpires [04:53] that the United Nations actually let me [04:56] ask you do you consider it settler [04:58] terrorism for a Jew to pray on the [05:02] Temple Mount? [05:05] >> Uh I wouldn't use the word terrorism [05:10] settler violence [05:12] to pray. [05:14] No. How about [05:17] wandering? Let's say I'm walking my dog [05:19] in Judea and Samaria and it runs off its [05:22] lead into a Palestinian's olive grove [05:25] and I chase my dog into the field the [05:28] grove and bring back my dog. No trees [05:30] being harmed, no persons being harmed. [05:32] I've put my dog back on my lead and I go [05:34] back on my hike. Is that settler [05:36] terrorism? [05:38] >> No. [05:39] >> No. So according to the UN, 16% of their [05:44] 8,000 incidents were [05:48] Israelis praying on the Temple Mount. [05:51] Israeli Jews, not Israeli Arabs, that's [05:53] fine, but Jews, that's settler violence, [05:55] or the Palestinians that are on the [05:58] Temple Mount at Alexa attacking the [06:00] security forces. 19% of their incidents [06:04] 19% one nine were instance recordings of [06:09] trespassing on Palestinian line where [06:11] there's no damage to property just over [06:13] 20% included trespassing where there was [06:17] damage to property already around 60% of [06:19] the incidents it turns out that only 10% [06:23] of the [06:26] 8,000 incidents only 10% of them [06:29] involved actual violent altercations and [06:33] of them only 1% 1% resulted in a [06:38] fatality where an Israeli civilian was [06:40] involved. The overwhelming majority of [06:42] the violence was between Palestinians [06:45] and the security forces. But the United [06:47] Nations records this as settler [06:49] violence. So what's going on? What are [06:51] we looking at? Because I've just seen a [06:52] video. You've just seen a video. [06:54] What you're seeing is almost biblical. [06:58] It is Palestinians and Israeli Jew, [07:01] Palestinian Muslims and Israeli Jews [07:03] predominantly. There is one Palestinian [07:05] village called Taba where there's [07:06] Christians as well who are effectively [07:09] fighting over grazing rates and [07:12] territory. There has been an explosion [07:16] in building post Oslo by the [07:18] Palestinians and post October the 7th [07:21] that energy is being matched by the [07:23] Israelis. The Israelis did not build. [07:26] They kept they kept the Oslo. The Oslo [07:29] Accord said that the Israel was in [07:31] control of planning and zoning building [07:33] an area C and the Palestinians area A [07:36] and then joint between the Palestinians [07:38] and the Israelis in B. And what you're [07:42] looking at is almost biblical is [07:43] shepherds fighting shepherds. So, in the [07:45] video we just watched, it's most likely, [07:49] I don't know the context, but I would [07:51] feel very confident saying this because [07:52] it's usually the case, the Israeli Jews [07:55] there are shepherds. Their sheep have [07:58] been stolen and they're retrieving their [08:00] sheep and that's why they're in there. [08:02] You've just seen a very well-known [08:04] activist called Andre X. I don't know if [08:06] you're aware of him or not. I don't know [08:07] if you've interviewed him before. [08:08] >> I found out about him yesterday. [08:11] He's a Ukra a Ukrainian refugee who was [08:14] given sanctuary Russian refugee given [08:17] sanctuary refuge in Israel and he [08:19] stabbed Israel in the back and has [08:21] turned himself he's made a career as an [08:24] activist against the nation that gave [08:26] him gave him a place [clears throat] of [08:28] refuge. But that said, you don't know [08:30] what happened before he starts rolling [08:32] the camera and you don't know what [08:33] happens after he starts rolling the [08:35] camera. But he's a propagandist. He's an [08:37] activist and what you're consuming is [08:40] propaganda. Which is why Mario, I would [08:42] encourage you before you go too deep [08:44] down the rabbit hole and get yourself [08:45] banned from Israel to come here and [08:48] visit and see with your visit Kusra. [08:50] Visit Dumma. They're at DMA. I can tell [08:52] you the villages where it's going to [08:53] take place. It's going to be Dumma Tasy. [08:56] Um it's the same places every single [08:59] time with the same activists filming the [09:01] same scenes again and again and again. [09:04] It's theater. It's theater for their [09:06] respective audiences. [09:08] [clears throat] [09:10] >> So when if you could play this one, [09:11] Stephanie, um because you've given [09:13] examples of a a dog running into the [09:15] territory of um a a Palestinian person, [09:19] someone coming in, grabbing that dog and [09:21] walking the dog out. Um and if you [09:23] compare that to the videos I've shown or [09:24] the events that happened in that [09:26] village, just I'll play this one. [09:28] >> The army from down there are shooting [09:30] live ammunition at us. [09:36] Hey hey hey. [09:48] It's linked to the story from today [09:50] where the Trump administration from [09:52] yesterday or today highlights reported [09:54] the Trump administration is considering [09:55] measures against Israel over rising [09:57] settler violence against Palestinians in [10:00] occupied West Bank amid growing US [10:02] concerns over involvement or inaction by [10:04] Israeli authorities. Options include [10:06] restrictions on IDF units accused of [10:08] serious abuses, limits on the use of [10:11] US-made weapons, and potentially [10:12] blacklisting Israeli military and police [10:14] officers accused of allowing settler [10:17] attacks. any action could be delayed [10:19] until after the elections in Israel in [10:20] the midterms. Um would love your [10:23] comments on on this video for example [10:24] because that's different to the example [10:25] you've given the the I think 10% or 20% [10:28] of the ones mentioned by the UN. [10:29] >> So so I I think and I may be mistaken I [10:33] think that's Bahour [10:35] um which is just outside of Bethlehem [10:38] and again it's this is a property [10:41] dispute between Israelis and [10:45] Palestinians. Now, [10:50] what many people mistake is they think [10:53] that this what you've just witnessed is [10:55] the norm. There are over half a million [10:58] Israelis that live over the the the [11:02] Green Line, which you would consider to [11:04] be a settler. Now, this was a flyer that [11:07] was put out and sent to residents living [11:11] not far from that house you've just [11:12] seen. And it's saying that the those [11:16] that are involved in a particular [11:18] outpost [11:20] are a strain on the soldiers or a strain [11:22] on international relations. And so [11:24] settlers have put out a flyer talking [11:28] about other settlers that they believe [11:30] are are causing problems for Israel's [11:33] image internationally, causing the [11:35] soldiers problems, putting soldiers at [11:37] risk. You've seen soldiers there. A [11:38] conflict could erupt at any moment there [11:41] and lives would be at risk. And the [11:44] world gets it completely wrong. The [11:46] world thinks that what you're seeing [11:48] there is played a scene that's played [11:50] across Judea and Samaria day in day out. [11:54] The reality is the overwhelming majority [11:57] of Israelis around 10% of the population [11:59] or the Jewish population lives over the [12:02] green line. They're accountants, their [12:05] road sweepers, their doctors, their [12:07] ordinary people, their families. We're [12:09] dealing with a fringe of a fringe and [12:12] the world has shined this huge spotlight [12:15] on them. So much so that you're showing [12:17] me a video of a Palestinian called IAS [12:20] and an Israeli we don't know fighting [12:23] over an abandoned property. There's no [12:25] no one's killed. There's no one's [12:27] harmed. The worst thing I think we see [12:29] witnesses it looks like the Israeli Jew [12:32] may be taking some plants that don't [12:35] belong to him. [12:38] This is it. this while there's a literal [12:41] war in Sudan where tens of thousands of [12:44] people are dying, hundreds of thousands [12:46] of facing famine, we're concerned that [12:49] some delinquent has picked up three [12:52] plants. [12:53] >> No, we're concerned. We're concerned [12:56] senior Israeli military officials have [12:58] warned political leaders that a mass [13:00] casualty settler attack against [13:02] Palestinians is becoming an increasingly [13:04] realistic scenario. So this is an [13:07] example and and you know these instances [13:09] are increasing in the last few months [13:11] especially after October 7th but in the [13:13] last few months that there's an outcry [13:15] around the world because the number of [13:16] them has increased and again is talking [13:19] about a mass casualty event by Israeli [13:21] settlers and the worry there is that [13:23] could lead there's 200 prominent former [13:25] Israeli officials retired generals etc [13:28] told the New York Times that the [13:29] escalating settler violence against the [13:31] Palestinians [13:32] um and they're calling this violence [13:34] Jewish terrorism ethnic cleansing. [13:36] Again, this is prominent former Israeli [13:38] officials, retired generals, [13:40] intelligence chiefs, two former prime [13:42] ministers. They calling it Jewish [13:44] terrorism, ethnic cleansing, accusing [13:46] Netanyahu's government of pursuing a [13:48] deliberate government policy. By the [13:49] way, Netanyahu yesterday dismissed it, [13:51] saying this is all a hoax last few days, [13:53] I think he he said it in an interview. [13:55] >> It is. It is. I I visit these sites. I I [13:58] make videos from them. It is a hoax. [14:00] I've been to Kusra. I've been to Jal. [14:02] I've been to Betah. I've been to all of [14:04] I've been to Duma. I've been to every [14:06] site we've watched. [14:07] >> Do you understand? My father My father's [14:08] a good My father is a good man, but I [14:12] know if anyone steps for on our [14:14] territory, and I think you're the same. [14:17] You have [14:18] >> I'm not going to speak on your behalf, [14:19] but I know you have kids because you've [14:20] mentioned them in previous interviews [14:21] and I know how protective you are of [14:23] them and the way you've spoken about [14:25] them. And my father is the same. As a [14:27] child, I remember how he was. And you [14:30] know, I was born in Lebanon. But my [14:32] father is, you know, had land in [14:34] Lebanon. And I, you know, from those [14:36] memories, I know for a fact my father [14:38] would never interfere in anyone's [14:40] business. He lives his life, doesn't [14:41] want anything to do with the rest of the [14:42] world. If anyone sets foot on his [14:44] territory, if anyone throws stones at [14:46] the house, if he feels his children's [14:48] lives is at risk in any way of any [14:50] violence, I can assure you he would grab [14:53] a gun and fire that gun at whoever is [14:56] threatening his children. And that is [14:58] the same thing. [15:01] What if your father has built that home [15:03] illegally? So what most you you [15:05] mentioned Google Earth before Google [15:07] market [15:09] on that comment just on that quick I'm [15:11] going to add one question I'll let don't [15:12] forget your comment because I don't want [15:13] to dismiss it but what percentage of the [15:16] West Bank is be very objective then I'm [15:19] I'm genuinely asking because I trust you [15:21] give me the accurate number the [15:22] percentage of the West Bank that was [15:24] under Palestinian control all of what [15:26] area A BC under Palestinian control [15:29] versus Israeli control what was that [15:31] number in 2010 and what is it now back [15:33] in 200 What is it now? [15:34] >> It's so it's never been under [15:38] it's never the how it was in 2010 is how [15:41] it is today. So the Palestinian [15:43] Authority have civil and military [15:46] control over area A. They have civil [15:49] control but not security over area B. [15:52] And area C which makes up 60% is fully [15:56] under Israel. So every video you've just [15:58] played is in area C. And if you go on [16:02] Google Earth, which is what I was going [16:03] to mention, and you look at any of these [16:06] villages we're talking about, go to [16:07] Jalud Kusra Duma, and look at that [16:09] expansion into area C. 70% of the [16:12] buildings that have been constructed in [16:14] area C are empty. This is a land grab. [16:18] And the kids you're looking at are the [16:20] reaction to that land grab. Israel [16:23] should not it's it's it's actually in I [16:26] was going to show you images, but it's [16:27] not even worth it. the the level of [16:29] construction that's gone up being built [16:31] by Palestinians in area C where they [16:33] have no right to build under Oslo, this [16:35] was the agreement [16:37] is unparalleled. And so you mentioned [16:40] your father. If your father had [16:42] illegally built a home 10 years ago and [16:45] now the there's some kids clashing with [16:47] him because they they believe he [16:49] shouldn't have built it. They believe [16:50] it's their territory. And you're in a [16:52] battle for grazing rights. you're in a [16:54] battle, not a physical shooting battle, [16:56] but you're you're clashing over the [16:57] land. It's not the same as if you're [16:59] sitting in your ancestral home which you [17:02] legally purchased 300 years ago. That's [17:05] not what we're discussing. Go on Google [17:07] Earth, find these houses, look at them, [17:09] you'll see that all [17:10] >> But if you look at what's your [17:12] explanation of Kushra then the village, [17:14] the community that was completely [17:15] blocked by the Israelis. [17:17] >> So this is this is this is the absolute [17:19] I went there. I I I saw the siege with [17:21] my own eyes. To to bypass the siege, you [17:24] stepped over some tiny pebbles. That's [17:26] it. There were some kids sitting in the [17:28] drive. Like the kids have no weapons. [17:31] They're kids. There were people coming [17:33] and going. It was a news story. It's all [17:35] propaganda. This is the thing which I [17:38] don't trust. Don't take my word for it. [17:40] Come to Israel. Visit. See it for [17:42] yourself. Everybody that's watching it, [17:43] get a cheap flight to Israel. Go head [17:46] over to the Palestinian villages. Speak [17:48] to them. speak to the Israelis. See it [17:50] with your own eyes. You are being [17:52] played. And I'm not pretending that [17:55] there aren't like bad apples in my camp. [17:58] There are bad apples. I mention there's [18:00] an example of one guy who is being he's [18:03] been indicted and he's going through the [18:05] court system at the moment for [18:07] recklessly discharging his weapon and [18:09] killing a killing a Palestinian just [18:12] south of Hebrron. So there are real [18:16] instances of violence, but it that [18:19] violence doesn't warrant or justify the [18:22] level of attention or the label settler [18:24] terrorism. Far more Israelis have been [18:27] killed [18:29] than Palestinians in terms of civilian [18:32] verse civilian. The other day, a man was [18:36] bathing, making himself ritually pure [18:38] for a festival with his four-year-old [18:40] child. A Palestinian gunman opened fire [18:43] and brutally murdered him in front of [18:46] his child. The violence is the other way [18:49] round. Yes, there are vigilantes. Yes, [18:52] there are delinquents. They are a fringe [18:55] of a fringe of a fringe. They're not [18:57] representative and they certainly don't [18:59] want [19:01] the concern that the concern is not the [19:03] fringe itself. Every country has their [19:05] own violent fringes and the concern is [19:08] that the Israeli government is not doing [19:10] enough about them. Those those violent [19:12] attacks could be stopped. We're talking [19:14] about a country who's one of the most [19:16] effective intelligence apparatus in the [19:18] world, one of the most effective [19:19] militaries from in terms of [19:21] capabilities. Yet, they cannot stop a [19:23] bunch of settlers that are attacking [19:25] Palestine. [19:26] >> I'll give you an example. I went to [19:27] Chris to film the siege. I was there for [19:30] three minutes and Israeli special forces [19:33] arrived with balaclavas to find out why [19:35] I was there. Was I causing problems? I [19:38] told them I'm a journalist. I'm just [19:39] filming the situation and they allowed [19:41] me to remain and film because I was [19:43] clearly not a threat to anyone. I was [19:44] just recording. The kids from Kuzra, I [19:47] can give their names if wanted. They're [19:49] currently being chased around the [19:52] Judeian Hills or the the the um the [19:54] Shamron by Israeli forces, security [19:58] forces. that one of the biggest [20:00] challenges Israel faces is that because [20:03] of Oslo, we're in this ridiculous [20:05] situation where Israeli civilians are [20:08] under civil law and Palestinians are [20:10] under military law. So the army can [20:12] intervene with the Palestinians, but [20:14] there are limitations on how they can [20:16] intervene with Israeli civilians. So [20:17] when some Israeli civilians try to break [20:20] into Syria and set up an outpost, the [20:22] Israeli army captures them, brings them [20:24] back, hands them over to the police and [20:26] says, "Please take this seriously." and [20:28] they put out a tweet saying, "We hope [20:30] that the the Israeli police take this [20:32] seriously." Um, and the the judicial [20:35] system takes it seriously. [20:38] The best thing that Israel could do, in [20:40] my honest opinion, is area C [20:43] should be under full Israeli [20:45] sovereignty. If they were to give the [20:47] 150,000 Arabs that live in Area C full [20:50] citizenship, the same rights as my [20:52] children, the same rights as me, [20:54] everybody could live in prosperity. [20:56] there'd be one law for all people. [20:58] >> I respect that. I think that's that's a [20:59] fair solution. What happens to area A [21:01] and B? [21:02] >> So area A and B is much more [21:04] problematic. What I would hope to see [21:06] happen and I you can go on my YouTube [21:07] and you can watch me speak the [21:09] Palestinian after Palestinian asking [21:11] them if Israel were to give you [21:13] citizenship. Would you take it? The [21:15] overwhelming majority say yes. Why do [21:17] they say yes? Because [21:20] you advocate Sorry because I have to [21:22] jump off a couple. Absolutely. Sorry. [21:24] >> Absolutely. [21:25] >> Go ahead. Finish me. Sorry. [21:26] >> No. Absolutely. Equal rights. [21:28] >> Yeah. Full voting rights. [21:30] >> Absolutely. To equal rights. Oh, okay. [21:31] Okay. That's what he meant by [21:32] absolutely. Absolutely to equal rights. [21:35] So, but do you worry if that's the case? [21:36] And we'll kind of get rapid there cuz I [21:38] remember speaking to Conrias and I asked [21:40] him, he was telling me about how this is [21:42] a bad idea. Palestinians can't have [21:43] their own state. They can't have their [21:44] own military. They can't have their [21:46] control their borders, import, export, [21:48] etc. But I'm like, what is the solution? [21:50] He's like, well, I don't know the [21:51] solution. I just know that these are not [21:53] the solutions. And it reminds me of one [21:55] of my team members, one of my [21:56] executives. I get so upset at him [21:58] because he keeps highlighting flaws in [22:00] my business. I'm like, "All right, what [22:02] is your solution?" He never has a have [22:04] never gives me a solution. What you're [22:06] saying, what the solution you propose [22:08] talking about the West Bank is all the [22:09] Palestinians there in your view should [22:11] be part of Israel having full [22:13] citizenship in the state of Israel. Is [22:15] that your solution? [22:16] >> So yeah, phased. So most people say [22:19] advocate give first residency working [22:21] towards citizenship. uh you begin with [22:24] area C, people in area B would then look [22:27] to the the flourishment, look to how the [22:29] everyone is thriving, the good life that [22:31] we're all sharing, and hopefully they [22:33] would want some of that. If there is [22:34] still a strong Palestinian national [22:37] cause that can't be um overcome by just [22:40] pragmatic economic success and [22:42] flourishment, [22:44] then potentially looking at something [22:46] like a more of an Emirates plan where [22:47] there are autonomous regions. So, [22:49] Hebrron would be autonomous. Raola would [22:52] be autonomous [22:53] >> and all of them would have a citizenship [22:55] in the state of Israel with equal rights [22:57] to you. [22:58] >> So, so I would have no issue with that [23:01] over the long term. I don't think [23:02] there's a demographic threat there. I [23:04] think if we took control of the [23:06] education, it would be far better. I [23:08] don't think Palestinianism [23:10] and Israelism can coexist in the land. [23:12] One of them has to be victorious because [23:16] you will never meet a Palestinian that [23:17] says Palestine is the West Bank and [23:19] Gaza. They always from the same is but [23:23] isn't that sorry to interrupt because I [23:24] know we're just wrapping we got to wrap [23:26] up and I'm keen to get what you but [23:27] isn't that ethnic cleansing you're [23:29] getting rid of Palestinian as you just [23:31] said [23:32] >> or did I just understand [23:33] >> no you're getting rid of ideology pal [23:36] there were people living in [23:38] Palestinianism [23:40] >> it's an identity that was born in the [23:41] 60s so for instance in 1964 the PL [23:44] national two minutes let me just land [23:47] this the PLO's charter article 24 in [23:49] 1964 said they have no territorial claim [23:52] to the West Bank or Jerusalem. This is [23:55] the Palestinians saying they had they [23:57] only had claim to what was Israel. That [23:59] was in 1964. Why? Because at that point, [24:02] Jordan was the occupying power of the [24:04] West Bank. They're the ones who named it [24:05] the West Bank. In resolution 181, it's [24:07] called Judea and Samaria. And so there [24:11] was Palestinian Isism was created to [24:15] destroy Israel, not Jordan in the West [24:17] Bank, Israel, the other side of the [24:19] green line. The Palestinian identity [24:22] does not exist or did not exist. It [24:24] exists today and it was created in [24:26] reaction to Zionism. [24:28] Destroy it exists. We can talk about why [24:31] it exists. It goes back, you know, [24:33] hundreds of years of Palestinians before [24:35] Israelis, before Jews came in from [24:37] Europe and started settling the land. [24:39] That gets into a debate that we could [24:41] discuss. I I know I know it gets into a [24:43] debate, but what I want to say is [24:44] putting the past aside. There is an [24:46] identity called Palestinians. People [24:48] call them Palestinians. Other other call [24:50] them Arab uh what is it? Arab Israelis. [24:53] All these different terms for these [24:54] people have an identity. And with what [24:57] you've just recommended, and I know this [24:59] is probably a discussion for a long [25:02] discussion to have, but when you said [25:04] those two um I think you use the word [25:08] ideologies, Israeliism and [25:10] Palestinianism cannot coexist on the [25:12] same land and then you have to control [25:14] the education system. You do know how [25:16] that sounds though. [25:18] >> So it sounds however the person wants to [25:20] hear it. What I'm saying is Palestinian [25:23] was created to destroy Israel. That's [25:26] why it was created. They have lost that [25:28] battle. I speak to hundreds of [25:30] Palestinians, hundreds of Arabs who tell [25:33] me the same thing. They say that we know [25:36] we've lost. We need [25:38] >> And you're not worried and you're not [25:39] worried about And you're not worried [25:40] about if we do the your idea of putting [25:43] the West Bank as part of Israel. You're [25:44] not worried about Israel no longer from [25:46] a demographic perspective no longer [25:47] being a Jewish state being percentage of [25:50] the population. [25:52] >> I believe there's 1.6 6 million Arabs [25:54] living in Judea and Samaria. There's 7 [25:57] million Jews that live in Israel. We [25:59] have a demographic majority. We have [26:01] more children than they have. Uh I do [26:03] not believe there is a demographic [26:05] threat through re for asserting [26:08] sovereignty over area, B or A. [26:11] Obviously, I think it should be gradual. [26:12] It should nothing should be rushed. But [26:15] I do not believe there is a demographic [26:17] threat. [26:18] >> But I I respect I I respect the fact [26:20] you've given it. I respect when you said [26:22] equal rights um as you I think this is [26:25] the most important [26:26] >> khabibi khabibi there are two million [26:28] Arabs that live in Israel with complete [26:29] equality they're in the government [26:31] people can vote for them in the [26:32] elections one of my best one of my dear [26:34] friends [26:34] >> no what I mean [26:36] >> there's no there's not one Jewish [26:38] there's not one Jewish Palestinian the [26:40] Palestinians did ethnically cleanse us [26:42] the Jordanians ethnic Jews were the [26:44] majority population of Jerusalem 200 [26:46] years ago every single last Jew was [26:48] ethnically cleansed by the Jordanians [26:50] actually ethnically cleansed and so [26:53] there is apartheid it's on their side [26:55] not ours if the Arabs are able to [26:57] flourish in Israel they will have [26:58] equality inshallah but ism [27:01] >> you had to you had to end it with [27:04] [laughter] with an emotional rant um the [27:06] only reason I was kind of sticking to [27:08] that point about equal rights is I [27:09] remember yes was advocating for [27:11] something similar you probably know what [27:12] what he says but they shouldn't have [27:14] equal rights they should have something [27:16] similar to what people like myself have [27:18] in Dubai which is so I have Australian [27:20] citizenship, equal rights, etc., but I [27:22] have residency in Dubai. I told Isai, [27:24] "Yeah, okay. I have residency in Dubai. [27:26] I wasn't born here, but I have a [27:28] citizenship of another country. I'm just [27:29] a resident here, but I do have a [27:31] citizenship." And he was advocating for [27:32] Palestinians to just have residency in [27:35] Israel without equal rights to you and [27:36] him. Um, which obviously I I found to be [27:39] like I found it to be an appalling idea. [27:41] You do advocate for [27:43] >> the the reason they don't have [27:45] citizenship is Jordania Jordan illegally [27:48] revoked their citizenship and made them [27:50] stateless. Now you to the right of me [27:53] but his solution is more humane than [27:56] anything that anyone else is proposing [27:59] and I believe mine's even more solution. [28:01] I I think a two set a two- set solution [28:03] in my view is also very humane giving [28:05] those okay here's my challenge to you [28:08] know here's my challenge to you [28:10] one Palestinian organization [28:12] >> that shows Palestine as the West Bank [28:14] and Gaza one Palestinian organization [28:17] >> one political party one of the factions [28:21] um but Joseph I do want to have because [28:23] I am getting extremely critical of [28:25] Israel as I see more and more of this [28:27] content um and I want to have this [28:29] conversation if your time allows on a [28:31] regular basis, maybe even a weekly basis [28:33] to make sure I keep challenging myself. [28:35] And as always, I we've been speaking for [28:37] a while, so I appreciate you coming on [28:38] the show and having this conversation. [28:41] >> I appreciate you having me. and Bez all [28:44] people know peace.
