🚨"We are a nation of lions,” said Yaniv Hayun, one of the heroes of flight FlyDubai flight 1073.
He “put flight attacker in a chokehold, pulled up the controls and stopped the plane diving” Hayun recounted to prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an interview upon landing.
Other heroes of the flight were Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, who was severely wounded while trying to fend off the attacker - his co-pilot. Machchhar managed to release the cockpit door before collapsing.
Other heroes of the flight named so far are Assaf Rajuan and Tzvika Manes as well as Dr Shota Musaev, a dentist, who helped the wounded pilot until the flight landed in Saudi Arabia (landed by additional off-duty flight crew members who were traveling on board).
