On October 7th, I'm here at the tomb of
[00:02]
the patriarchs and matriarchs in Hebron.
[00:03]
It's really very fitting because there's
[00:05]
nobody that cries more for the fallen of
[00:07]
October 7th than the forefathers and
[00:08]
mothers, the parents of this whole
[00:10]
Jewish nation. They were given a promise
[00:12]
that this nation would go into exile but
[00:14]
would return. That's exactly promise
[00:16]
that we're living right now, the great
[00:17]
in gathering of the Jewish people in the
[00:19]
land of Israel, in this heartland of the
[00:21]
holy land in Hebron, in Jerusalem, in
[00:23]
these holy and amazing places. On
[00:25]
October 7th, state of Israel failed
[00:27]
because the state's first responsibility
[00:28]
is to defend the Jewish people. And
[00:29]
that's what we got to fix. We got to
[00:31]
make sure the Jewish people are safe and
[00:32]
that the jihad does not get us ever
[00:34]
again. And that's what we're doing in
[00:35]
the state of Israel using the mechanisms
[00:37]
of the state to defend the peoplehood.
[00:38]
And point of the peoplehood is to come
[00:40]
back to this place to worship God to
[00:41]
reconnect with the path of the
[00:43]
forefathers and mothers throughout. I
[00:44]
hope that in Knesset I will be able to
[00:46]
strengthen Jewish strength, resilience,
[00:48]
peoplehood, Judaism, and of course the
[00:50]
in gathering of the exiles. May this
[00:51]
October 7th be the last memorial that we
[00:53]
have to do. May we see the destruction
[00:55]
of our enemies and at the same time
[00:57]
service of God in joy.
