What does this attack [music] tell us
[00:02]
about the state of the Iran war and the
[00:04]
ability of Iran and its regional allies
[00:07]
to continue inflicting [music] damage?
[00:09]
>> I think it really illustrates how what
[00:11]
was intended to be a fairly short-lived
[00:13]
war has actually led to a situation in
[00:16]
which the Iranian regime remains intact
[00:18]
and the war has breathed new life into
[00:20]
[music]
[00:20]
its proxy network which had been
[00:22]
decimated in the Israeli and American
[00:24]
campaigns in the region after October
[00:26]
7th.
[00:27]
>> [music]
[00:27]
>> And it has also led to a kind of
[00:29]
metastasizing conflict. Despite our
[00:32]
efforts to try to contain the damage,
[00:34]
we're now seeing that the Gulf states
[00:36]
vulnerability remains high.
[00:38]
>> [music]
[00:38]
>> The Houthis I think are the last potent
[00:41]
terror proxy that the Iranians have
[00:43]
[music] to deploy. They played the
[00:44]
Hormuz card, they lost it. They want to
[00:47]
play the nuclear card and now they're
[00:49]
playing the Houthi card.
[00:50]
>> [music]
[00:50]
>> And of course it's a serious problem.
[00:52]
The Houthis are a dangerous terrorist
[00:54]
organization and now we have the United
[00:56]
States, the Israelis, the Saudis and the
[00:58]
Emiratis together in a coalition to
[01:00]
[music] try and push back against this
[01:02]
Houthi threat.
