arguably Israel's greatest strategic
[00:01]
asset for decades wasn't just its
[00:03]
military superiority or its intelligence
[00:05]
prowess or American weapons. It was
[00:08]
bipartisan American support. And if that
[00:10]
is diminishing, if that's become sort of
[00:12]
generationally fragile, then policies
[00:15]
that were inconceivable even 5 10 years
[00:18]
ago could be politically imaginable in 2
[00:22]
years from now. Not predicting that.
[00:24]
Polling can change, wars end,
[00:26]
governments change, public attitudes
[00:28]
change. But if you're going to be
[00:29]
engaged in serious national security
[00:31]
planning, you should be identifying
[00:33]
vulnerabilities before they become
[00:35]
crises. And I think it'd be a big
[00:37]
mistake just to look at today's
[00:38]
administration and even today's Congress
[00:40]
and assume that's the America Israel is
[00:42]
going to be dealing with in 2029.
