How do you reconstruct a massacre when no single survivor witnessed everything?
When filmmaker Yariv Mozer began working on the Emmy Award-winning documentary We Will Dance Again, there was no complete official investigation report explaining what happened at the Nova music festival on October 7.
On ALL CAPS, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner asks Yariv about the challenge of gathering survivors' testimonies. Working with Rinat Klein and the HOT8 team, he tracked down survivors through research, personal contacts and social media.
The result: 15 survivor testimonies that, together, helped reconstruct the scale and sequence of the massacre through the eyes of those who experienced it.
Fifteen survivors. Fifteen perspectives. One devastating picture.
