Keren Hayesod UIA

A beautiful and inspiring moment at the Beit Canada Barnea Absorption Center in Ashkelon! The Olim at the absorption center, run by our strategic partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel, had the privilege of dedicating a new Torah scroll to the center’s synagogue. This special Torah scroll was transcribed and donated through the contributions of Olim who arrived at the center over the past five years as part of Operation Tzur Israel 1 and 2. May this Torah scroll illuminate the synagogue with light, unity, blessing, and joy, standing as a lasting symbol of faith for generations to come. Chag Sameach to all of Israel!

Chag Sukkot Sameach! As we step into the holiday, we invite you to learn about the Four Species and how they symbolize the power of Jewish unity. Meet the Four Species (Minim) of Sukkot and what each one represents: Etrog (Citron): Symbolizes those who blend knowledge and study with action and good deeds. Lulav (Palm branch): Symbolizes the thinkers and learners who focus on wisdom, values, and inner growth. Hadas (Myrtle): Symbolizes the givers, caretakers, and empathetic souls who bring warmth and kindness wherever they go. Arava (Willow): Symbolizes quiet strength and dedication: the essential hands that build, support, and keep everyday life running. During the holiday, we bind all four species together as one. This tradition reminds us that true strength comes from unity across all parts of the Jewish nation. Wishing our entire global Keren Hayesod family a joyful and meaningful Sukkot!
