You have to read this, he was AT THE CONCERT!
"We had been at MetLife Stadium for a couple of hours. Long enough to buy Ed Sheeran merch, sit through two opening acts, and settle in with my wife and our two daughters. Then the third opening act stopped being an opening act. Macklemore turned a sold-out stadium into his own political rally, accusing Israel of genocide, leading chants of “Free Palestine,” filling the screens above him with images from Gaza, and performing “Hind’s Hall.” My daughters turned to me, shocked. They knew about the war, and we had talked about antisemitism at home, but they had never sat inside it. Now they were watching a stadium cheer a man whose message didn’t sound aimed at a government. It sounded aimed at them.
We left our seats until his set was over. Ed was terrific, and my daughters sang along to every word. That was Friday, September 4. When Macklemore did the same thing the following night, I decided I was done staying quiet. The first night was Macklemore’s decision. The second night was Ed’s."
