These smiles are why we’re building. A new dorm at House of Grace means more room to welcome girls, more opportunities to care for them, and more space for them to grow, learn, and dream about a brighter future. Every girl deserves to know she is loved, valued, and full of potential. As House of Grace expands, even more girls will have a safe place to call home and the opportunity to step into a future filled with hope. https://www.globalservants.org/what-you-can-do #HouseOfGrace #GlobalServants #HopeForTheFuture #ChangingLives

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 022), I take you to Acts 16 and the journey of Paul and Silas to Macedonia. Even after being beaten, imprisoned, and chained, they chose to pray and worship God at midnight. What happened next reminds us that true worship is always transformational. Worship can transform the atmosphere around us, transform the people we are praying for, and transform us in the middle of our own trials. Maybe you feel like you are in a cave or a difficult season right now. My prayer is that this message will remind you that your circumstances do not have to determine your worship. As we focus on God, He can bring transformation where we need it most. Worship transforms everything. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/3V20Y3T #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast #biblestudy #bible

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 331), I continue looking at the life of David in 2 Samuel 5–6 and one of the most difficult spiritual disciplines we will ever learn: waiting on God. David had been promised the throne years before he actually became king, yet he refused to force God’s promise through his own strength or timing. He waited for God to fulfill what He had spoken, and when God gave him direction, David learned to listen, obey, and move forward in faith. We also see David establish Jerusalem, defeat the Philistines, and bring the Ark of the Covenant into the city. His first attempt reveals an important lesson: we can have the right goal and still try to accomplish it the wrong way. David learns that we do not prop God up—God props us up. And when the Ark finally enters Jerusalem, David worships with unrestrained joy and generosity. Through David’s victories, failures, worship, and patience, we are reminded that a life after God’s own heart is built on believing God, consulting God, obeying God, and waiting on God. – Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/46enIQD #DrMarkRutland #LeadersNotebook #ChristianLeaders #Leadership #bible #biblestudy

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 021), I take us on the journey to Caesarea Philippi in Matthew 16 and ask the most important question we can ever answer: Who do you say Jesus is? The world will try to reshape Jesus into whatever fits our beliefs, desires, or worldview, while legalism tells us that His grace is not enough. But Jesus is not who we make Him to be. He is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and Jesus is Lord. His grace is sufficient, and His blood has redeemed us once and for all. The question is not only whether we have made Jesus Lord for salvation, but whether we have surrendered every part of our lives to Him. Is Jesus Lord of your relationships, your thoughts, your actions, your future, and everything you hold back? As you listen, I pray this message challenges you to lay it all down and experience the freedom that comes through the grace of God. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/3SM6KWN #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 330), I take a closer look at one of the lesser-known and most complicated seasons in the life of David. From 2 Samuel 2 through the events surrounding the death of Saul, Jonathan, Abner, and Ish-bosheth, we see a man moving from shepherd, to warrior, to exile, to king. David’s journey reminds us that God’s destiny is often reached through a long and difficult process, not by shortcuts. Again and again, David chooses to honor God, respect what God has established, and remain faithful even when those around him do not. There is a powerful lesson here for anyone waiting on God: when you cannot yet do anything to advance your ultimate calling, do what God has placed in front of you and do it with excellence. Encourage yourself in the Lord, follow the plan, take the next step, remain true to your values, and let God make the way forward. “Wait, I say, on the Lord” is not passive resignation—it is faith that trusts God’s timing. David’s story ultimately brings us to the 23rd Psalm, where the warrior king speaks from the heart of a shepherd: “The Lord is my shepherd.” The same God who led David through the valley was faithful to lead him into his destiny, and He is still faithful to lead us today. – Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4iQkoCG #DrMarkRutland #LeadersNotebook #ChristianLeaders #Leaders #podcast

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 020), I take us on a journey with Elijah from Mount Carmel to Jezreel in 1 Kings 18. After the fire falls from heaven and God gives Elijah victory, we see that the story is not over. There are more victories ahead, and the journey teaches us what it takes to walk in them. Victory requires preparation through humility, perseverance through prayer, and faith to move forward when God gives the promise. If you are waiting on God, praying for a breakthrough, or tempted to live in yesterday’s victory, this message is an encouragement to stay humble, keep praying, and believe that God still has more ahead. The same God who sent fire from heaven and broke the drought is still faithful today. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4xxzbWV #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #pocast #bible #biblestudy

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 019), I take a look at Moses’ journey to Midian in Exodus 2 and what happens when we get ahead of God’s timing, act impulsively, depend on our own strength, or become more concerned with what others think than what God is saying. Moses made serious mistakes, but his time in Midian was not the end of his story. If you feel like your past mistakes have disqualified you, I want to remind you that setbacks are not failures. God still has purpose, destiny, and a calling for your life. Just as God called Moses from the burning bush in Exodus 3, He can call you forward from whatever season you are in. Through the victory of Christ, we are not defined by our past. We are more than conquerors because of Christ in us. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4ynU6fJ #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast #BibleStudy

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 329), I continue the story of David through one of the darkest and most difficult seasons of his life. From his covenant friendship with Jonathan and his desperate escape to Gath, to the humiliation of pretending to be insane, David finds himself with no home, no resources, and seemingly no future. Yet even in the lowest moments, the hand of God is still upon him. Psalm 34 becomes David’s testimony of that deliverance: “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him.” As David gathers a band of unlikely men at the cave of Adullam, God begins rebuilding what appeared to be completely broken. Through David’s failures, resourcefulness, loyalty, and refusal to take Saul’s life into his own hands, we see a powerful reminder that God’s purposes do not depend on our circumstances. When crisis comes, we must learn to encourage ourselves in the Lord, seek His direction, and trust Him with our destiny. God is still at work when the promise seems farther away than ever. – Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4qTlUGl #DrMarkRutland #LeadersNotebook #Leaders #podcast #GlobalServants

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 328), I begin a journey through the life of David, one of the most fascinating and complex people in Scripture. Before we ever get to Goliath, David’s story is shaped by the world around him, from the era of the Judges and the rise of Saul to his unlikely family heritage through Rahab and Ruth. David was a shepherd boy from Bethlehem, yet God saw something in him that others could not see. We look at David’s anointing by Samuel, his victory over Goliath, his rise as a military leader, and the growing jealousy of Saul. David’s story reminds us that God’s calling does not always make immediate sense, and that success, recognition, and even God’s favor can create complicated seasons of testing. We also see the remarkable friendship of David and Jonathan and the supernatural moments that protected David when his life was in danger. As we begin this study, Psalm 23 gives us a beautiful glimpse of the heart of the man behind the history: “The Lord is my shepherd.” – Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4cnQdyX #DrMarkRutland #TheLeadersNotebook #GlobalServants #leadership #leaders #christianleaders #podcast

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 018), I take us into Genesis 11 and 12 and the journey of Abram toward Canaan. God had called Abram to go, but the journey itself would reveal what God was doing in him. Sometimes the greatest danger is not turning back, but stopping too soon and settling for a place God never intended to be our final destination. As we follow Abram’s journey, we’ll look at what it means to leave the old things behind, refuse to be defined by the world, by other people, or even by our own accusations, and keep moving toward what God has called us to do. But there is one command that must shape the entire journey: “Be a blessing.” Wherever God has us going, we are called to love, encourage, forgive, serve, and bless the people we encounter along the way. Don’t stop in Haran. Keep moving forward, and be a blessing on the journey. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/3SYu0Rp #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast #biblestudy

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook, I conclude the You’ve Got Mail series by returning to the Book of Revelation and asking what its message means for believers living in the world today. Revelation is not merely a sequence of end-times events to be organized into a timeline. It is a letter to the Church—a sweeping, symbolic vision that pulls back the curtain and reveals Jesus Christ as Lord over history, eternity, and every power that rises against Him. We will explore the seals, trumpets, visions, beasts, and judgments of Revelation without losing sight of its central message: above every tyrant, conflict, and spirit of Antichrist stands the Lamb upon Mount Zion. Jesus is both the sacrificed Lamb and the conquering Lion, and all the redeemed stand with Him in victory. Revelation reminds us that the forces of darkness are real, but they are temporary. Christ will overcome them all. The final message of Revelation is not fear, speculation, or confusion—it is grace. No matter what suffering, uncertainty, persecution, or hardship we face, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ remains with His people. We have received the message: Jesus is Lord, His victory is certain, and His grace will sustain us to the very end. - Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4xaDckm #DrMarkRutland #LeadersNotebook #ChristianLeaders #Leaders #Podcast #MarkRutland #Revelation #Bible

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook, I invite you to approach the Book of Revelation not as a complicated timeline to be decoded, but as a powerful revelation of Jesus Christ. Written by the Apostle John during his exile on Patmos, Revelation is both a letter to the Church and a sweeping spiritual vision filled with images, sounds, symbols, and promises. Rather than reading it like a Western textbook, we should experience it more like a great Hebrew opera—allowing its message to reveal the glory, authority, and ultimate victory of Christ. We will examine Jesus’ letters to the seven churches and the message He gives to every generation: He knows the truth about His Church, He calls His people to overcome, and He promises eternal life and fellowship to those who hear His voice. Revelation was never intended to frighten believers with beasts, tribulation, or the spirit of Antichrist. It was written to assure us that evil is temporary, Christ is victorious, and the outcome has already been decided. No matter what happens in history, Jesus remains present among His people. The question is not whether difficulties will come, but whether we will listen to His voice, remain faithful, and live as overcomers. - Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4vfGuB5 #DrMarkRutland #GlobalServants #LeadersNotebook #Leaders #ChristianLeaders #Christian #podcast

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 016), I conclude our “9 to 5” series by looking at John 18 and the trial of Jesus before Pilate. In this message, we see three visions of kingship on display—Caesar representing earthly supremacy and power, Herod representing sensual desire and self-indulgence, and Jesus standing as the true King of sacrifice who redefines what it means to rule and reign. From the courtroom of Pilate to the cross and ultimately the empty tomb in Mark 16, this sermon proclaims the victory of Christ over sin, death, and the grave. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11) is the Spirit that brings us new life, forgiveness (Colossians 2:13), and lasting victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15). This is the gospel: not occasional breakthrough, but the finished victory of the risen King. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://www.globalservants.org/podcast #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast
